They're not a good group, though I like Barrie. But switch over to the forwards and they are equally bad pure numbers wise. Even legit star players are doing poor. It's a team wide problem that's been the same for years, which is amazing given how good their young talent level is and how unbelievably FAST their players are. It's a flawed roster saddled by a meh defense, but they should not be this bad. Yet they actually have been this bad give or take a bit since Roy took over.

I think Patrick Roy is a bad coach, or at least one who needs to make adjustments. He strikes me as super stubborn, not to mention his continual bug up his butt about analytics like "Fenway." All the analytics people said the Avs when he won Jack Adams in his rookie year were massively over performing. Their underlying numbers were awful. Well, since they've been proven right and it was unsustainable. Just like the Leafs a few years ago. And now the Flames who were expected to regress based on their numbers. There's no way their awful possession numbers aren't due to Roy's system.

About a week ago Luke Schenn was leading all Defensemen in points per 60 IIRC

They're not a good group, though I like Barrie. But switch over to the forwards and they are equally bad pure numbers wise. Even legit star players are doing poor. I'm much happier bout the Eagles win today than I was last night. Watching the 4th qtr, plus their inability to tackle and catch passes had me pretty steamed last night.

RIP Pelle. Although not a Flyers fan I remember feeling awful when I heard the terrible news.

The depth of talent isn't THAT shallow. If there were as many NHL franchises as Subway franchises, Vinny still wouldn't even be a 4C.

You think they miss RO'R? He is a pretty damn good player, kind of glue guy that held things together. Value wise to their team, he reminds me of #14 on the Flyers... in a way.

I was actually very angry watching that game. I don't really follow the Eagles that closely but I still root for them when I can watch. They have trouble making plays to put a team away. Notable exception is that rookie linebacker they have, he is amazing.

When they called Maxwell for pass interference twice I was yelling at the TV. I haven't done that this year with the Flyers, so was surprised that the Eagles were able to get me all riled up.
