Wait Im confused, you mean in relation to keith's contract? Isn't he on a 12 year deal? - Sabresfan-365
You are correct, so no, they can't do that.
I didn't think he had one of those crazy ones, guess I was wrong. |

Sabres had to get to 70 games to equal the games we leaded shots on goal now. |

Stay tuned... |

Yeah I don't know. Glad I don't have to make that decision. I just feel so many big contract hand outs in Buffalo have gone bad. - Buffalo--Sabres
I have no good answer either, that's why i brought it up |

Yea, the good old days. When you could just slap some fake years on a contract. |

Keith has 8 more years on that deal. He'll be 40(ish) when it's over (depends on his birthday and I'm too lazy to look). But, it wouldn't entirely surprise me to see him still playing at a relatively high level then considering how much of a fitness freak he is. So while it seems like a crazy deal, there really is a very strong possibility he plays the whole thing out. |

Last year's team probably would have gotten schooled by ECHL teams on a nightly basis. This team is definitely NHL caliber. It feels so good to watch game again. |

Yea I feel the same way about Hossa too.
Edit: On the topic of Girgensons, Im thinking (assuming the points come) he gets a couturier extension. |

Did CJ just earn a second start? It'll be interesting to see who plays against Florida.
This team is fun to watch. Fans who aren't watching are missing out. |

They're 5-3 since the Montreal blow out. It feels great to be excited about games again. |

I'm having a blast watching. So much fun, even when we lose. I'd give Chā-Jo another start. |

I think we hit that mark like 5-6 games ago... not sure if that makes me sad or happy. |

Reports say Patrick Marleau would accept a trade to the New York Rangers, Anahiem Ducks or LA Kings.
This report comes after the Elliotte Friedman from Hockey Night in Canada stated that his name was getting thrown around in trade options. Marleau has a no-trade clause and is in the second year of a three-year 20 million dollar contract. He is 36 years of age but would still make a nice addition to a team making a push at the playoffs. Would the Sharks really trade him to a division rival though? It seems unlikely. |

Jack Eichel scored a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Eichel opened the scoring with a power play goal at the 5:57 mark of the first period and he also picked up the primary assist on Cody Franson's game-winning goal. The 19-year-old has put together back-to-back multi-point games. Eichel has six goals and nine points in 15 games this season. He finished the game with seven shots on goal, one hit and a plus-2 rating in 17:55 of ice time. He was selected as the game's first star.

It's a great fit to retire early honestly all the Rangers do for elite players is ruin their careers and make them retire
The Ducks would be amazing place for him |
