I don't see lazar or Zibby going anywhere in that trade, possibly Lazar but Murray isn't going to trade our biggest power forward for a undersized second line center. Probably looking at a first round pick and a prospect and someone like 9mm. Murray has too much of a hard on for Lazar and Zibby. I myself would offer our first round pick Nick Paul and 9mm to send some money back.

Watching Hammond last night, could not help but wonder if Colorado has an interest in a goaltender in any deal they might do for Duschennes. We know Patrick Roy believes good goal tending is imperative for team success.

Hammond looks very good. Better than I expected. Not sure I would pick him to trade. On the other hand, Anderson has been very strong in most games.

Big test against Rangers.

People are singing a different tune about Karlsson. I remember the 100 points this year talk

Ya he's only on pace for 82. Pointless post, typical for you.

Just caught up on all the comments.

First of all, Zibby does not have the same ceiling as Duchene. Hahahah. Whoever said that needs to hand in their fan card. Duchene has struggled a bit lately but he is a game breaker. He has raw talent that Zibby will never come close to. Turris/Duchene 1/2 down the middle and now we look like a contender (up front anyways).
Second, I would easily package Zibby and Lazar for Duchene if we can get something else back. Even a prospect Dman or something. I have talked about Lazar enough on here. His trade value will never be higher.

Problem is, this will never happen cause of our owner. Forcing them to take Greening? (frank) off Melnyk. That will kill any trade and probably already did.

Zibanejad vs Duchene

I don't think anyone came out and said their ceilings are the same. But to suggest that Zibanejad's is much behind I think is inaccurate. Zibanejad is already a 20 goal, 50 point guy imo if he plays healthy.

Secondly, imo, trading Zibanejad AND Lazar is too much.

Someone back on page 2 said it.

If you are just looking a points, their ceilings aren't far off, but there is so much more to the game. Duchene controls the play. Duchene will produce with anyone. Zibby relies on his wingers..

We are talking about a guy that made the Canadian Olympic team here.

Zibanejad was drafted 6th overall in 2011 - Duchene 3rd in 2009. They both present similar qualities - 200 foot game, played in big situations - Zibanejad scored the golden goal in a tight game.

Yes Duchene making team canada is a big deal, good point there. No doubt he is very far ahead of Zibanejad, all I'm saying is that the ceiling (potential) is there for Zibanejad to become a 25g/60point getter without question imo

I have to say that Duchene isn't a top 15 center in the NHL. I'd say he's comparable to Turrris

Duchene is the better player ,Zibby is the better fit .Adding another smaller center albeit very skilled, isnt something this team needs to do .Offense isnt a problem ,and Col ,s best dmen play on the right side.So cant really see a deal here

They aren't trading Duchene.
