That game was all Ullmark (hides) - Sabresfan-365
Agreed. He was outstanding. The non goal on Ennis didn't help. They just seemed to lack any jump last night and didn't get a ton of offensive zone pressure imo. It's good to get the two points though, good trip in Fla.

the forecheck wasn't there like it has been last night.
I don't think they were that bad defensively but they were for the most part pedestrian in the O zone. not like they have been.

I thought defensively they were pretty good but the Panthers really amped up their play in the third when they get down 3-1. If they created more scoring chances this game wouldn't have been close. They couldn't sustain any pressure, credit to Florida for making some good outlet passes. That kid Trocheck (sp) is a nice player for them. Ullmark was terrific. I was a bit surprised they went to him last night after Johnson's performance in TB.

We'll take the 2 points and run. - mhp
i think it was more of the sabres being content with the lead and playing the defensive game in the 3rd. Had it not been for that we would have forechecked a lot more aggressively

I can't disagree with that, especially in the 3rd. Getting 4 points on a quick trip to Florida and now they get SJ Saturday, it's looking good.
I know some were critical early on about Bylsma and his line juggling but there were so many new players, he had to find the right forward lines. In my view I'm really impressed with this coaching staff.

the next 6 games will be a big test.. i think we will find out if we are really contenders after the next week and a half. Sharks, Stars twice, Blues twice and the Preds is a tough stretch

If we can go .500 over those games we'll be looking good.

Agreed, a very tough stretch. It's hard to imagine that the Sharks are the "easy" game during the next 6 game stretch. Yikes!
It'll be interesting to see how the chemistry will be affected once we get Bogo, Lehner and Kane back into the line-up. Coach B will have some interesting decisions to make.

McCabe and Pysyk need to stay together. Carlo or Weber needs to go for BOGO
Kane, gonna be tough honestly becuase top guys are starting to gel together, but i do not want to see him with Eich. IMO Eich is playing a lot better with out him beucase he holds the puck instead of looking to feed Kane.
Lehner, he is your starter if Ullmark starts to sizzle out but if not he is your 1B

After a hot start to the year, the Sharks are struggling a bit these days.
