Different off ice. The play of Jake and Cooter aside, and Cooter is not the issue, possibly a symptom.
The tone in the Flyers offices (ticket sales, group sales, through the hockey operations) is just different. I have an opinion as to why, but it has nothing to do with the on ice product. The way in which Hextall is managing the team and assets is either a symptom of this difference, or part of a larger issue. - wbon22
Well off ice factors are certainly part of the equation but rarely a key factor.
EVER the objective is the same to win hockey games.
And if you are weak as team in minimum you should not loose ( AKA try to get in OT )

Ek please stop with these redirect adds. I was just redirected twice while HB was loaded in a complete separate tab. That is not fair. |

This will never happen but I am sure both 93 and 28 would love to get out of Philly. You can see the frustration, watched Giroux snap his stick in half at the bench last game, similar to his golf club smashing a couple years ago, or to his ass grabbing of a cop in Ottawa, there is so much wrong with this team right now I am just sick. - joegreif17
Maybe he was practicing his club smashing for this april? |

It was a stupid article meant for clicks. There is nothing the philly media loves more than to create controversy around their team's best players. - YuenglingJagr
I disagree, I don't think it was a stupid article at all. The writer has a point, and I don't think it's creating controversy... if in fact the team will not be competitve due to salary cap restrictions and undeveloped prospects, why waste guys good years when you can get more prospects that will develop along with the others, giving you a balanced team for years to come? |

Duchenes early struggles meant management had to light a fire under his ass. What better way than with a couple trade rumours? Honestly, I don't see them moving him anytime soon, and his play has picked up significantly since. The rumour is bogus at best. |

i love giroux he is a class act hockey player and i would miss him but at this point we need a new flavor, i would trade giroux for eichel in a heart beat - mydoglicks
There isn't a single player in the league that Buffalo would want for Eichel. He will most likely the 2nd best player in the NHL to McDavid by 2018 |

In no way am I trying to troll here, but Flyers fans, are you guys in favor of trading Giroux/Voracek and going full rebuild? I an article from a Philly newspaper talking about the pros of it and was wondering what the Flyer's fans opinions on the matter are? - j.boyd919
I'd consider it. It would depend on what comes back. I mean it really depends on how long the D will take to rebuild. If we are talking 2-3 years no, but longer yes. Right now I would easily trade Read, Simmonds, Neirvirth, Streit, L.Schenn, Umberger and Shultz for picks or Prospects. I would not trade Baby Schenn, Couturier, Laughton, Giroux, Voracek or Mason unless the offer truly blew my mind |
