They weren't represented because you would have to be able to watch a player for them to be your favorite. Id guess the age of most posters is late 20s and early 30s. - gerbe42
Based on the picks it's probably mid 20's.

I am 43, so I should be old enough to have at least included some 80's players as I watched them live and on TV. But I really did not understand what was going on.
But I think that I really did not care enough until around 1988. For the Bills as well. |

He has the size and talent to be a solid center, sometimes it takes a few years for players to figure things out at the NHL level. We got his growing pains and Colorado is going to get his best years.

Hes earned his time with the Big line, worked hard on the 4th and 3rd lines playing solid defensive hockey until he gets to play with Duchene and MacKinnon.
Hes an NHL player, thats for sure |

I hope he does well. He got a raw deal here, imo. |

Hes bought into being on the Avs and whatever role that means. He had an interview a few weeks ago and said he believes in Patricks plan for him.
Good attitude so far and saying all the right things. Hes getting rewarded for it now |

Love having ROR, but I was real sad to see Grigorenko leave. He did get screwed with us but the past was the past and that didn't mean he had no future here. I think you guys got a real solid player and I hope he does well. |

Still would do that trade 9 times out of 10. ROR is going to be a beast for a very long time but the trio of Grigo, Zads, and Compher could be really special in rounding out the depth and missing pieces for the Avs |

Your previous post and this one sound like the exact opposite of what he was like in Buffalo. Probably because of coaching and management.
Good for him, and Roy, to get the two buying in to what is best.

Zads is the only piece of the trade that I regret losing.
When he was drafted after Risto, we were all laughing because we wanted forwards. Until we realized the those two could anchor a solid blue line for a decade.
Either way, I think and I hope, it ends up as a solid hockey trade. |

Zads was pissed to get sent down (and rightly so since he was still one of the better Dmen not he team) but it seems like hes being a pro and buying into the plan, responding back with his level of play in the AHL.
Hes been dominate with the Rampage, 2g 1A in 3 games for him. Him and Bigras are learning how to man the big minutes and will be doing that with the Avs very very shortly |

Wow there is A LOT of obstruction and stick work going on by San Jose tonight. This is the crap that is hindering the overall quality of the game. |

In the final analysis this trade will be looked at as a trade that helped needs of both teams. A good hockey trade.

The sharks are playing good defense in front of their net. Lets not be bias here either, ive watched buffalo "obstructing" quite a bit too. |

Biggest thing is that it gives Avs the money to add other pieces plus resign MacKinnon to his mega deal that he deserves, guy is such a beast |

Nobody is being biased. The defenders are interfering in the path of the forwards and there are a lot of sticks in waists.
If that is good defense, it's why the speed is lacking and scoring is down...yet again. |

And im telling you that the sabres defense is doing the same thing. It is just part of the game because its not being called. |

Looking like my first loss of the season. He has 5 games in hand tomorrow, reimer is absolutely killing me and i have finally been burned by andersen. I figure i need to be at least 20pts up after tonight to have a shot at it. Not looking likely. |
