Well, if Reimer didn't win the #1 spot last week... He certainly has now.

No, you missed the point, Lets agree that this team is playing harder with less talent than the past.Work ethic is really good with what they have. It wasn't about the joke, more about supposed fans degrading them when they are doing what they can.
As I said, I don't find it funny anymore.

No I don't laugh at the Leafs these days.

They are putting in the effort and playing a much better game.

The Rangers are one of the best teams in the league and they deserved at least a point if their goalie didn't throw away the game at the end. The Stars and Nashville are also among the best teams in the NHL.

Despite the inevitable Habs trolls with the giggles, you can't really laugh at the Leafs or question Babcock as a coach at this point. That may all change, but for now there are actually some positives for a change.

But release Bernier FFS.

SO ...

Next time we are debating the goaltending, I don't want to hear anymore about Bernier's superior rebound control.

That rebound was a stupid as I have ever seen. It is like he actually passed it to the forward. He actually kicked out a muffin from the point 10 freaking feet.

I seriously don't ever want to see him in a Leafs uniform again. Time for waivers (if we can?) and pray someone picks him up.

A whole other year making #1 tender coin too. And Reimer UFA.

Doesn't matter, we aren't going to contend this year and won't need his cap space next year.

We'll have room for Stamkos

I'd like to see Reimer extended on a cheap two-year deal. There's not going to be a pot of gold out there on July 1st for him, and he seems content playing whatever role is asked of him. If Bibeau/Sparks are the "answer," great, if not, no harm no foul.

Although to be fair. Giving up a rebound doesn't automatically make his rebound control suck.

I've seen Gretzky miss open nets....

Except for the 2nd and 4th goal.

He needed to have both of those, and that's been his issue. Fantastic most of the game, but will let in softies.

When the Leafs were offensive powerhouses, it wasn't an issue. Now it is.

At the end of the day if you give up 4 goals you didn't give your team a chance to win

I agree that they are.

He let in a wrist shot from other side of center (again) what else but laugh?

It wasn't a shot at the team and their effort or how they played, but a shot at the poopty goaltending display we just witnessed.

I tuned in just as the Rangers scored.

I didn't even see the highlights of that other gem Bernier let squeeze through his pads.

Another horrible long distance goal that no professional goalie should ever let in.

Bernier isn't good enough for the ECHL.

.867 sv. pct and 2 very weak goals.

NO team in the NHL overcomes that very often, when facing one of the best teams in the league...

but when you have the least high end talent in the league, you can't let that happen.

Sadly, the return for Kessel seems to be a late 1st, maybe and a bottom pairing D.

You really got to laugh though. I can't believe another softie went in like that. He can't buy a break

I went on my rant BEFORE I saw the goal he let in from the other time zone.
