Isn't it easier to get rid of diversity by trading malkin? |

I think its time to trade Giroux. Clearly its not working in Philly.
San Jose idea, EK is embarrassingly bad for Pittsburgh. Marleau is old and sucks. He detracts from the deal. |

I don't know how many times I've said this on here now but here it is again. Its easier to make good players play well again than to get good players on a team. A sabers fan should know that. |

Malkin for Stamkos is literally the stupidest thing written. What sense does that make? Trading what you call a #1 center in Malkin for another #1 center in Stamkos...... It is a pointless lateral move!
The only deal that makes any sense is Malkin/Crosby for Weber + 2nd line Center. Pens need D badly. |

Dater is a piece of garbage. Relaying this opinion to him is likely why I no longer am able to see his tweets. Didn't know that about the Ashley Madison hack Good, he deserves it. I'm more impressed that someone willingly married him. - eichiefs9

The other thin EK you fail to understand is that a team like Washington is not going to blow up their team to get Malkin. Why are they going to get rid of their best Dman with no one to replace him for Malkin when they already have Backstrom and Kuch. Yes Malkin is an upgrade over the two but leaving the D dismantled will turn Washington into Philadelphia. Nashville trade makes sense because Nashville is stacked. They already have Josi with Weber and can easily move a guy like Jones up. |

Why would Washington ever want Malkin? He CANNOT play with Ovi... we've seen this the last decade in Worlds and Olympics, it was true before then in juniors. They don't mesh.
So... Washington to sell hard for what would be a #2 center for them? |

Basically! No sense. You would think that someone who makes up their own rumours would at least look at what both teams need.... |

A number one LH shooting Dman and a solid 2 line centerman is a must on Malkin's return. How about Mark Giordano and Sam Bennet for Malkin?i think it's good for both sides. Imagine Malkin and Monohan down the middle for the next 5 years? The Flames showed last year they can get by with TJ Brodie as their go to guy on defence. I am positive Gio and Letang would make a pretty good top pairing and Sam Bennett will be a superstar in this league in the near future. |

I'd also be impressed if Gio and Letang stayed healthy for more than two games. That's too much injury juju on one pairing.
Also Sam Bennett has proven nothing thus far. Not trading Malkin for a defenseman who can't stay healthy and what is basically a prospect.
Finally, a 2RD is way more important right now than a 1LD. I understand that Maatta isn't playing great right now, but Dumoulin is showing top pairing potential and Maatta was amazing before this slump. Plus we have a blue chip LD prospect that could be ready as soon as later this season. As far as RDs go? We have Letang and then... Benlovejoy. |

trust me, Flame fans wouldnt trade Bennet no matter what. That kid is a star in the making, they have a good one with him. Hes ridiculously good.
If you could get your hands on Bennett, you better do it, |

Funny, trade players from Pittsburgh...
Fire the coach. He's the wrong one. Shoulda kept Byslma. Mike Johston is the better résumé'd Ted Nolan. One thing if a player goes cold, but a whole team of proven talent and Cup winners goes cold and forget how to play.....the coach has them confused. Players of this magnitude, do they really need a coach? They need a team strategist but pure coaching technique, etc......enough already. "Hey Sid, lift the guys stick with yours and steal the puck, like this...." C'mon, you can't teach these guys anything at this point in the game.

I didn't know he could only keep his job if he won the Cup every year.
Sometimes, teams have a hangover the next year, but I guess Pitt was immune and it was all Bylsmas fault.
My Sabres outshot your team 145-17 last time, you barely won the game and we had a Goalie from a YMCA in Sweden. Coached by Byslma.
We are thrilled to have him. |
