Murray is a genius because at MINIMUM we have a 6 year window. (Maximum, it could be 10-12) assuming we continue to stage well and don't have to overpay aging stars as Eichel, etc. Get new contracts

Edit: realistically, this team will do as well as eichel, Reinhart, Risto do, not O'Rielly and Kane. So we have a massive (frank)ing window to do well with this team (and enjoy watching them )

No, because Eichel is an upper echelon player. He will produce probably his whole career at a high clip.


Again, most people have an enormous problem with context.

No one is saying Kane will be Matt Moulson in a year, the point is that if you are expecting consistent 30 goal seasons from someone after the age of 25, especially someone who didn't do it previously, you will probably be dissapointed
