FWIW, Giroux currently has more goals, points, and a better +/- than Sidney Crosby.

I don't think the coach is a big fan of Gagner. When he does play he's only given limited minutes, and 40% OZ starts. However good Gagner is at this point in his career, that is not the way to get the best out of his talents.

I wonder if his parents are 2 of their 7 season ticket holders.

Just a fun little Brindy story:
There was a set of hockey cards in the 90s licensed by the NHLPA but not the NHL, so they had either candid shots of players or players with team logos removed. This was Rod's card:

Upon seeing it, my mom asked for one and went out and bought a Brind'Amour jersey. She then took a sharpie and colored over his face so she wouldn't have to look at anything but his body.

My wife's aunt and uncle moved from the area maybe 10-15 years ago to the Miami area and had club box season tickets for the Panthers. They were complaining to me about how their season bills doubled from $250 to $500 each after 2012. I didn't even know how to reply.

Yeah, that was a weird one. Not a fan of Gudas being anywhere near a 3 on 3. Bellemare actually had a decent scoring chance if I remember correctly. I would've liked to see Brayden Schenn out there.

Yes, $500 for each season ticket package (44 games)...in a club box.

Its really, really important to have three guys who can all fight out on the ice at the same time when its 3 on 3, sudden death.

Thanks Bill. A much better effort, even if they did lose via shoot out. This team is capable of playing much better, but for some reason they can't put together a complete game, or put forth a consistent effort. However, with injuries, some of the kids were able to come up, and inject some new life into the team. Let's just hope that the kids don't settle, or adapt to the losing ways of the past few seasons.
Shots were up, and face offs were decent (thanks to G). Baby, steps.
It will be interesting to see how the team plays the next few games; it can be something to build upon, or it could contribute to even worse play. Also, what will coach do when players start coming back off of IR? He may not have a choice with the cap issues.

Yeah, I remember that. You figure the unsigned, unnumbered replica jersey's probably $60 at a retail store, it comes out to less than $4 per ticket. Add in the free parking...it's really sad.

The Sixers, who are 0 for the season so far, are well out in the lead for that trophy.

In terms of offensive output, the same can be said for pretty much every player on the team, except those that aren't expected to, such as Schultz, Gudas, and L. Schenn.

Problem is, this is supposed to be a bounce-back year for Read.
