The Sixers, who are 0 for the season so far, are well out in the lead for that trophy.
- BiggE

The Sixers are truly the 92/93 Senators of basketball. The Flyers are bad, but the Sixers make them look like world beaters. I hear that one of the recent Sixers' games was only a 6-point loss, which is close to a win.

Yeah, that was a weird one. Not a fan of Gudas being anywhere near a 3 on 3. Bellemare actually had a decent scoring chance if I remember correctly. I would've liked to see Brayden Schenn out there.
- TobyFlenderson

Yup, PEB had a decent shot to end it, and I assume he was only out there in OT because White is injured...

I don't think the coach is a big fan of Gagner. When he does play he's only given limited minutes, and 40% OZ starts. However good Gagner is at this point in his career, that is not the way to get the best out of his talents.
- Feanor

I don't think he trusts Gagner against a team that is heavy on the puck like LA is. It's a shame because Laughton didn't play much last night either, and I think he's a player who can be good in that situation. There's a bunch of matchup and usage issues that last night pointed out, as to why the Flyers aren't a top team.

My wife's aunt and uncle moved from the area maybe 10-15 years ago to the Miami area and had club box season tickets for the Panthers. They were complaining to me about how their season bills doubled from $250 to $500 each after 2012. I didn't even know how to reply.
- jmatchett383

When my cousin lived in the Miami area he would wait til just after the game started to go to the ticket window. He'd then listen to the price and make them a counter offer. Usually, the manager would take his counter and he would buy the cheapest seat in the house. He then would just move to a better seat since he often had at least 10,000 to choose from. According to him, the most he ever paid for a Panthers ticket was $7. But apparently the NHL thinks hockey is a huge success in south Florida.

Any time the Sixers lose by less than 10, they should have a parade.

Basically, the Panthers are the mid-90s Phillies. It was always nice to be able to go down to the Vet, pay like $6 for GA and then go sit wherever you wanted to.

Problem is, this is supposed to be a bounce-back year for Read.
- wolfhounds

I'm happy with Read's overall play, and that line had a strong game last night. The entire team is not producing well offensively. Read is clearly a different player than he was last season in my opinion.

I think that 4-6 parades a year is acceptable. Do they have enough players with working legs to walk the route?

Lol. I don't get Hakstol's love affair with White. He played well last year and has been OK this year but not good enough to warrant 'extra attacker' status. Also, brings into question the scratching of Medvedev. If he's in the lineup you don't have to throw Gudas out there in OT.

Yeah, but you knew if the Phillies got back to being even just a solid team, they would draw some fans.

The Panthers, well, not so much.

No doubt, still need him to bury some goals though.

Definitely. A small price to pay for a regular seat in the court of Jagr.

Well, that is true. And the shiny new building helped. The Panthers have been in the league for 21+ seasons now and cannot build a fan base. The Ducks, in the same span, with an established Kings team now too far away (especially by California standards), have built a pretty solid one.

Exactly. You'd get to see Jagr play, you get to see the likes of Chicago, LA, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Dallas, not the mention all of the young talent on that team. You'd be insane not to do it.

Bellemare's better suited to OT than White. He's quite a bit faster.

If Medvedev's hurt/concussed, why not just say so? Otherwise, I don't get it either.

Yeah, that was my sarcasm for when White was out on the ice at the end of a few games with the goalie pulled. That was a head-scratcher.
