I actually understand the concept, and don't necessarily hate it, but I have one problem. Wouldn't the fact that you have to unload the "bonus" draft pick, and cannot use it lessen its value?

If you're the best team, and end up with pick 165, who's going to want to trade for it? It would just be a throw-in of a trade that you already were going to make anyway.

I'd hazzard a guess that if any it would be marginal.

Toronto may have traded Kessel but they still have actual NHL players on the roster.

Interesting to see if we try to play rope a dope with the Blues, like we've played the last 2 or 3 games. Clog the middle, limit scoring chances, hope to be close in the 3rd, get a lucky bounce here or there...Ted Nolan hockey.

Not saying we should be trying to outgun faster, better teams, but it has not been as exciting lately to watch, and I would expect our possesion #s to have taken a hit lately.

One take from the last game: anyone notice Reinhart actually knock over an opposing player, I think it was in the 3rd, against the Stars? The kid is a beast!
