I listened to summer of '69 the other day.
It was nice. - Feeling Glucky?
It was the summer of 84' when I played until my fingers bled, ah when I look back now... |

If you ever walk into that new Ryerson building at Yonge and Gould, and look to your left, up on those giant wooden steps all the students are sitting on, you'll see a tiny little plaque on one of the columns, dedicated to A&A records.
That's their compromise for not keeping the record man sign up... Well, that and paying for it to be installed in y&d square. - Feeling Glucky?
I already kind of miss going into Sam's and seeing all the autographs all over the walls. |

In Swedish Junior: Nylander scored at a 1.6 Points Per Game (PPG) pace. Faster than any 16 year old in a decade. Faster than Landeskog, the Sedins, Filip Forsberg, or Gustav Nyquist. The Allsvenskan: He then went on to the Swedish AHL-equivalent, where he scored faster than any 17 year old ever. Faster than Forsberg and Pastrnak and Burakowsky and Backlund and, well… everyone, right? In the SHL: he scored faster than any 18 year old had in 20 years. Faster than both Sedins, Anze Kopitar, and Peter Forsberg. Look, he scored faster than Mats Sundin, and he did this on a disastrously bad, last-place MODO team. AHL: After Nylander ran out of runway in Sweden, he got called over to the AHL. A mid-season change of language, team-mates, rink size and so on is not easy. The result? Well, in 37 games he scored more points than any 18 year old had in five years. He upped his scoring rate every. single. month. as he adjusted, rising from 0.5 to 0.6 to 0.9 to 1.3 PPG — just as he had scaled up his scoring rate in the SHL. He finished the season with 15 points in the last 10 games. International: At every age — 17, 18 and 20 — Nylander has scored more than 1.4 PPG at the Worlds. Pause on that and hit replay for a second: At every age — 17, 18 and 20 — Nylander has scored more than 1.4 PPG at the Worlds. He was the top scorer at the World Under 18’s, and just one point off the lead at last year’s World Junior Championship. - poohcrumbs
I know its a long shot but for argument sake say leafs are in a wild card spot coming down the stretch and nylander is still producing at the same level as he is now, do they bring him up?

I think Leivo is gonna get a look soon..not sure if they would do that with Nylander |

He should be up, I said this before, bring a couple young players up a year so they are scattered or is it staggered from one year to the next in the lineup. Babcock is the perfect coach to bring him along. My two cents. - LeafMan
I think if the team keeps playing the way they are, and MB and management get the sense that the room is a healthy environment again, you will see him called up if a roster spot opens due to injury or trade. To me, the state of the vets and and dressing room is the biggest factor to him being called up, not his level of play in the AHL. |

If they are in that position that means its either going for a run or <5% odds in the lottery. I'd say f*** it and go for the run because the pick won't be great anyways. |

Just seems like an easy way to boost the offence for the stretch run without having to give up assets. I know they've been saying all along that hed spend the year in the A but I don't think they anticipated a potential playoff birth(all just theoretical) |

I will eventually start to find some spots around here, my goal is to find a house as soon as possible here. We sold our house back home which we had no mortgage on so the sale amount is just sitting in the bank for now collecting interest. |

I wanted Leivo and Nylander up this year. Marner will be with the Leafs next year, OHL will be out of the equation. |
