That line has looked awful the last two games.

Aside from his nice snipes, I've been less impressed with Laughton than others. I think they may be asking too much of him to be the one controlling a line.

I don't understand why they keep Coots on it either.

Calm me crazy, I'd give PEB a shot on the second PP.

Coots should be in front of the net doing screen and deflects and behind net work. He shouldn't be the playmaker on the wall.

I'd like to see Laughton on Voracek spot. He's got a good shot and is fast enough to wheel out with it and create space.

A certain Russian may be a good alternative to Manning there too.....

Me too. He's a hard worker and deserves a shot. I'd leave couturier I think, but id try anything at this point to try and spark something

He's big enough. Just needs to use it.

Bulking up is just going to slow him down.

I'm done trying to disect the little nuances... this team is a bad team and dire need of serious upheaval on that roster... I don't want them to tank but i exlect changes and if it means young players taking lumps so be it. but worrying about who pairs with who and what pass a guy makes in certain situations seems to be an excersize in futility with this bunch.

If we want Couturier, who is still a young player, to develop his offensive game, don't you think playing him with one of the offensive defenseman could help? So dissecting that little nuance is a part of this team moving forward.

Agreed. But there isn't one weak link on that line because they all have been playing awful.

Gagner is invisible. And has been for a while. Leier is a rookie who probably needs more seasoning. Laughton has been a VERY mixed bag this season. I'll stand by what I said: aside from his nice snipe goals, he's been mediocre so far. His play away from the puck is lacking, his faceoffs are not pretty, and he can be invisible a lot too. Which is impressive with his skating. I'm not casting judgments on him, just observations. I think he could benefit from playing with more consistent shift-to-shift players. Maybe a Raffl.

yea god forbid we get a player like Crosby or Ovechkin instead of just being mediocre

Personally, when playing on a line that has been a nice mix, I've liked Laughton's game. Raffl and Laughton would be a nice fit.
