I don't love Read with Couturier anymore, haven't for awhile

Not ripping anyone, as I know Read has looked better than last year in multiple ways

I actually liked him with Laughton more

Not revisiting this morning's debate, but if they aren't going to ever try Voracek with Couturier, I don't think the Flyers have the wingers to play with him that I want to see, because I would prefer Read-Laughton-Simmonds

They have been the checking line all season...I think everyone has recognized that, if not said it openly, because it has been fairly obvious

There are lots of 3rd line checking lines. IMO line numbering should primarily be based on TOI

Flyers lines should be

1. Scoring line
2. Non scoring line
3. Checking line
4. Scraps/leftover line

Hakstol has used them almost as a secondary checking line. They've been matched against Hertl I believe this game.

But Coots line is still the checking line. It's seeing the hardest usage by a good margin. That line is flat out destroying top lines each game. Better than in any season prior. I think the points will come for them, even if not in bushels. Just a matter of time. Then again no one scores at ES.

White-VDV-Bellmare are definitely a favorite of Hakstol.
