Nope I don't see him coming here without a Brodie (or like) going back.
Frolik has been a great signing! If Hamilton (et al) can continue the upward trend, we may yet find a way to get in... Thank the maker the Pacific blows this year... |

craig button just said flames should immediately look to move hamilton cause the 18 games he has seen hamilton is a complete bust and nowhere near what people thought... of course button would give up on hamilton way too early, he cut St Louis, and traded Giguire |

I know Button is an idiot but I kind of agree with him. Hamilton has looked like poop. He needs to gain some confidence out there. Looks like he's thinking too much. I still have faith he can turn it around, and all in all we didn't really give up much. But caaa maaan Dougie! |

Button is a moron. Trade a very young defenseman because 18 games ia a gd sample size. I dont think flames should go all in for hamonic. Hamonic is a top pairing defenseman but snow wants a damn back no need to jump the gun this early . |

it's only been 18 games, and not like he's been one of the only guys struggling, entire team has been garbage. Brodie's injury set him back because he was pushed right into the first pairing playing 25 min a night. Gotta be tough to do that on a new team and a new system |

No panic on Hamilton, he'll turn it around. He was trying to do to much at the start and got caught jumping into the play at the wrong times. The Flames play a completely different system than Boston, give the kid some time. |

I like hamonic but to anyone who thinks it would cost Brodie to land him give your head a shake ...why would the flames have to give up the better D man when the isles are the ones in a bind ...I wouldn't do Brodie for Travis and a first or top prospect so that's just silly talk ... if the isles are looking to land a similar D man from a western Canadian team then they are in for a surprise ...now if they are willing to take a wideman, Russell, sekeras, hamhuis, edler type guy plus futures then there might be a deal |

We need a goalie, throw in Dipietro's cell number and you've got yourself a deal! |

Do we have to pay for the 348 industrial sized bottles of Krazy Glue that you need to put him back together? Or will the Flames pick up the tab on that? |

Forgive my lives-on-the-East-coast-edness, but who in the name of god is Jakub "Rafael" Nakladal? |

If your offering a lesser D man you have to throw in more than Nakladal
Probably have to be a D prospect with more than AHL upside ...even then |

Some Czech fringe prospect. Not bad but is still adjusting.
We, as flames fans, should probably stop expecting Wide Dog to be worth anything at the time being. He's playing like garbage.
That said, if Tanev and Klefbom are the only acceptable targets worthy of Hamonic; prepare yourself for disappointment.
Tanev- good defenseman with limited offensive ability beyond making the first pass.
Klefbom- overrated offensive defenseman not yet ready to quarterback a powerplay signed to a long term deal that he hasn't earned. |

Free agent signing plays for the heat 215 pound shoots right. 4 points in nine games |

Hamilton is coming off probably his best game of the year and is 22...Button there is a reason you can't get a job in the league anymore
Crosby sucks right now too, trade him for a bag of pucks |

People are just now starting to realize how good Brodie is...every time the Flames play some eastern team its "wow I can't believe how good that guy is" "where did he come from"
His age at that position...people are only now starting to realize he is as good as anyone |

Can't quote today, but I think these are d-men that would interest the Islanders today, from Western Canadian teams only:
Oilers
Darnell Nurse
Oscar Klefbom (+)
Flames
Brodie/Gio/Hamilton - all of whom I think are better options for the Flames right now
Jets
Byfuglien - if they can get him to re-sign
Tyler Myers (+)
Jacob Trouba
Canucks
Tanev/Sbisa/Hutton (+)
That said, you look at the Islanders D-corps, they don't need an active replacement for Hamonic today, they may be able to afford a prospect or even a forward in return. Opening that door would change things in a big way IMO if they are willing to take a lesser player (say a Russell type d-man) to tide them over for now plus a future Kylington/Anderson/Nakladal.
I honestly do not see the Flames picking him up (though if you had asked me 6 months ago if we would have acquired Hamilton, I would have laughed in your face while eating your hat).
Good fit on almost any team, but I don't know that he is your #1 anywhere (yet) |
