Boeser and Demko are going nowhere.
Hamonic hasn't done much this season...yet. Did you not see his stats from last year?
Impressive. - LordHumungous
5 goals 28 assists is impressive?
Edler had better numbers last year... |

Edler 31 pts last which is not bad but nowhere near right now where he was projected to be. Again, much higher upside with Hamonic IMO.
Hamonic is trending up...Edler down. |

That isn't saying much.
I don't get why everyone is saying how good Hamonic is etc... He hasn't really done much at the NHL level, and doesn't have that much upside beyond what he's giving.
I would be mortified if Benning sent Tanev and Boeser for Hamonic. Unfortunately it's something I could see Benning do, or another top prospect like Demko. - Scooby_Doo
I don't think you've seen hamonic play often. The only thing that would have made me more frustrated and bitter than hamonic requesting a trade would be losing Tavares. Hamonic is going to be loved by the fan base who gets him. Very bad situation for us. |

I think Edler stinks. I'd be happy to trade him and a prospect or pick for Hamonic. |

To be honest I have hardly seen him play at all. Islanders games aren't televised that often out here.
I'm going off his stats, which are not as impressive as you or most people here are making them out to be. Coupled that with an obvious personal issue, I do t see you guys get full value for him. Who knows, the kid could retire in 2 years. |

This isn't a finesse defenseman. This is a guy who, hits(leads nhl defensemen in hits this year) fights, blocks shots and can add some offence and is able to skate. If you only look at his stats you have no clue, to be frank.
Edit- he's dropped to 13th in the league overall (including forwards) in hits now I see, my edit. You won't see his value through simple offensive points |

He fought 3 times last year, twice the year before and once the year before that. To be frank, doesn't look like you have a clue about him either. |

I watch the Islanders on occasion, probably half dozen games a year, Hamonic is good, not great, but good. He does a bit of everything and he's got an edge to his game.
Not really a top pairing kinda guy but definitely top four on a decent team. Depends who he plays with (team) that dictates his value. |

If you haven't seen him, this is pointless. Talk to the other canucks fans who have, you obviously have no interest in my opinion |

Fighting is being removed from the game, wouldn't be a reason to trade for someone.
Hamonic is 45th in the league in blocked shots. |

The more I learn about this player, the more I want to shy away from the trade. Do we really need to add someone with personal issues to be around our young players? I say pass on him, unless they are willing to take Edler. |

False. Although Tanev does not posses the offensive prowess others do I would want him on the ice anytime over Edler when its comes to crunch time in a tight game.
I would consider his defence is more valuable than Edlers offense. |

Sbisa wished fighting was removed years ago. They will never get rid of fighting . Too many fans love it. |

Lol, you could say that about all of us I suppose. I'm extremely bitter we're going to lose him and I know we won't get equal value. When someone thinks he's less valuable than edler, that's going to set me off at the moment.

Oh right sorry.
I'd hate to give him up, but the only way we get Hamonic is if we give away our stud defenceman Edler. He's been great this year, such a rock back there, but we'd have to part with him in this deal. Just kills me thinking about losing him, and what it would mean to our power play, but it's got to be done.

No, you're wrong, although Edler has had some bonehead plays this year, so has Tanev, he's still their best all-around defenseman.
Leads the team in minutes played, leading defenseman in scoring and he's third on the team in +/-. |

Hard to say because it's unclear if troubas ceiling is higher than he's shown, could be which is why I don't think the Jets would move him.
Right now trouba is close, but in 3 years, who knows. His potential is higher for sure |
