He's fine until year 3 of his contract. Depending on what happens trade-wise before TDL and how we draft/Acquire in the off season his leash is pretty long. Benning is going to want to see how WD does with more youth next season.

Without a doubt. However unlike most I am willing to give him more than 1 1/3 seasons to adjust. I am thinking by year 3 if some of the kids development stalls then there will be questions. Sure like anyone I am baffled by some of the decisions he makes but there is an adjustment period for any rookie coach. Only 20 games in. Let's see what happens when we are healthy and maybe Benning can provide Willy with a personnel change or two before TDL.

It's not how many you win, necessarily, it's how many you lose in regulation. Because, if you don't win you can still pick up points, which is why you see the Canucks still one point out of third place in the Pacific Division, two points out of second and four points out of first.

To date the Canucks only have seven regulation losses in 20 games, second fewest in the Pacific to LA, who have six.

Surprisingly, the Canucks have 56 goals for, which is second in the Western Conference to only Dallas (71). It's their goals against that's hurting them.
