Agreed. One decent season is not a very good measuring stick in terms of a player's overall quality. I'm surprised there are so many that are willing to part with proven assets over the usual 'potential' factor. I do like Hamonic but only if the trade would be a one for one (i.e. Tanev or maybe even Edler but with no additional players going the other way)

My resting heart fate is 36 so the doctor says I may be inline for a pacemaker. I blamed it on the Canucks road trip.

Guy I know got a pace maker when he was 26. He lived into his 80s had it changed out a couple times.

Islanders fans say not to look at Hamonic's stats, as what he brings doesn't show up in stats. Not sure if they are referring to the baggage from his personal life, or perhaps how he intimidates his opponents with a death stare.

We should be doing this for Edler and Sbisa.

Ya he's said he signed long term in Vancouver to stay there, they'd be hard pressed to get him to agree to a trade with a full NTC.

Way too much, Hamonic is a good 3/4 guy but nothing more. He's physical but he does nothing great, just good.

Ya I agree. I watched his 30 for 30 thing on TSN, he's a different cat. Obviously affected by seeing his dad die. Just seems like he'd be a lot of work to bring into the team and affect the chemistry. I'd rather stay the course and draft some good d prospects next draft.

Not even on the island anymore. They play in Brooklyn now don't they. New York city is a nice place to retire. He should talk to nassy.

They're talking about how Tortarella is such a good coach in the BJ's game. I puked and laughed at the same time.

Yes leading the D with on ice average. He's a top 2 for sure. I am not that high on him but he would be an improvement. Especially if you could get him for Vrbata. Defence is instantly improves.

I would think at 25 he's got potential to get better too, but as was mentioned I see other teams having a bit more of what they want, especially cause Vrbata's a rental.

I'm scoring the Habs/Isles game right now.

Islanders are down 3-1 after one period—and Hamonic's plus-one.

He and Leddy are rock solid. It's the other two pairings that are in trouble....

I still like him. Want him. He'd be a Norris Trophy candidate if he played for the Leafs. But the Isles will definitely want a defenseman. They already have more forwards than they know what to do with.
