Not even on the island anymore. They play in Brooklyn now don't they. New York city is a nice place to retire. He should talk to nassy. - bloatedmosquito

I'm scoring the Habs/Isles game right now.
Islanders are down 3-1 after one period—and Hamonic's plus-one.
He and Leddy are rock solid. It's the other two pairings that are in trouble....
I still like him. Want him. He'd be a Norris Trophy candidate if he played for the Leafs. But the Isles will definitely want a defenseman. They already have more forwards than they know what to do with. - Carol Schram
I think the only exception to this might be Eberle given his past chemistry with Tavares, but ultimately you're right they want a top4 back. |

We don't have the assets, they'll want Tanev++ and other teams like MIN/WPG/COL can offer better deals than JB could without gutting our prospect base. That said, I don't see him being moved until the draft when NYI can get the most for him. |

He just scored, too! |

The Isles pulled Halak. Perhaps we could tempt them with a lovely goalie?? |

I should have said 'up island'. Never thought Brooklyn as being on the same island as Uniondale. |

That's a cross continent flight for Miller to visit his brainless Botox filled wife. |

Nobody wants Tinordi. Is he even playing in this game? NO. |

But he is an improvement on Weber and has upside. |

I heard they want Tanev and a B prospect like Gaunce or Grenier. IMO you make that deal |

Wow. An expiring contract of a 33 yr old and an AHL player for one of the better Dmen . Some of these offers are embarrassing |

I'd make that deal. That's in line with my expectations.
It doesn't sound like the Jets want to part with Trouba. Tanev's better than Justin Schultz and Nurse is too young to fill the Isles' needs now.
Assuming the original leak is correct, that Hamonic wants to be in Canada and not in Minnesota or Chicago or Colorado, I think Tanev's the best available fit to slot in where Hamonic currently plays.
I think Hamonic's a better all-round player. I'd be willing to add Grenier to make that happen.

I'd hate to part with Tanev. Damn it, where's Raymond, Ballard and Lack when you need them? |

I am not as big on Tanev as most here . He is very decent . Hamonic is better offensively and much more physical |

Too bad for Edmonton that they didn't hang onto Petry. He would have been a near-perfect swap, the way he's playing tonight... |

I'd do the trade, but not happily. Tanev obviously has his holes, but he's our best D, some nights by a fair bit. A blue line of Hamonic and Tanev makes me pretty comfortable. A blue line with just Hamonic is better then what we have, but still thin as hell. |
