Look them up .
He has always been a 30-40 goal scorere - VANTEL
9 goals in 31 games |
|
|
|
He had 9 goals and 22 points at TDL. And was only willing to go to one team. So I see what you're saying.... - Bieksa#3
The reason he got 9 goals was because he played on the aging , untalented Flames. the following year he played 13 games. Then the next year he had 30 goals and the next 29.
Although we are not as bad as the Flames were , our numbers are dropping year to year also |

Relax dude.
Iggy and Sedins are comparable players. Iggy was the only talent on the Flames when traded. Kipper also. they had no other support.
Sedins have each other and a few vets that have helped them over the last 3 years. Flames were putting out AHL team . Of course the numbers wont be as good. Iggy got a very tepid return aside for the first round pick.
The twins also come as a pair so trading them, no club would throw away their entire future for two guys that are 34. |

What did Iginla get when he was traded . Approx same age range as the twins - VANTEL
I still think you can get a better return than what Iginla got. Although, winning teams, where they'd most likely go, would be capped out....unless it was the say the Islanders. |

If you could do one on one trading you could get a better deal for sure but they come as a pair so no team is going to throw it all away for 2 x 34 year olds. 3 young prospects and two first round picks is right around where I see it ending |

Actually looking at General Fanager and the cap of every team, trading both is near impossible unless you take a bad contract or two back.
Flyers would be a plausible scenario, they've got some great young defenseman coming up and two bad contracts in Lecavalier and Umberger. Bad part is, they've got no good young offensive talent per say. |

You would have to keep salary this year for sure. Teams like TB that are going to lose Stamkos next year can afford it. Nashville is in desperate need of scoring they could do something next year
Povorov or Sanheim would be a good start . Both should be NHL ready next year, but yeah they don't have a lot . That is why they suck |

Going to an Eastern team with limited travel could prolong their careers, Rangers with AV maybe? |

Nashville doesn't have the money, they're on a shoestring budget because of the Weber contract (which luckily stops being an anchor after this year after all the bonus money is paid out) and can't afford the Sedins unless we keep 75% of their salary. They might take Vrbata as a rental seeing as they managed to rehab Ribeiro's career but I doubt they trade more than a B-prospect and maybe a 2nd for him. |

The smartest thing Nashville could do is trade Weber. They have a solid D even without him. He is handcuffing their internal cap . Oilers would be an excellent trade partner. They have used their whole cap on the back end and goaltending and Oilers used teirs on the front end. |

I would love to deal with NY but their core is younger cheaper and better , so I am not sure what we could do. |

Daniel tied for 6th in overall scoring, Hank tied for 8th overall, pretty impressive for a couple of 34 year olds.
I'm all for embracing the youth movement but there needs to be skilled veterans to help mentor the youth, otherwise you replicate oilers 2.0.
I'm starting to think Vantel is secretly MacT. |

I'm glad McCann and Virtanen got to witness that first hand last night, it was quite a show by those two. |

I said I know they are the best players on the team. I also agree that this team would be in the dumpster this year without them as Lefty said.
That said it would probably lead us to Mathews or another excellent pick, 3 good prospects, 2 first round draft picks and 20 mil in cap space to replace them. I don't think that is an unreasonable post.
In three years when the Sedins are gone and all we have are memories we will be complaining that we should have got something for them. |

That first hand experience goes a long way, if Edmonton had that with their 22 1st overall picks, they would have a few cups over the last few years.. |
