It's games like these that make you sad that they are leading into the end of their careers - pker2theend
And they most likely won't ever win a cup, which doesn't seem right. |

Yup. Always so much negative focus on the guy. Even his first year in the playoffs people tried to blame things on him. .941 sv% 1.77 gas |

It was still a great shot, as Kelly just said, Toews had about four square inches to shoot at and he found it.
Nit-picking....if you're gonna female dog about a goal the second one was the one he looked bad on. - LeftCoaster
It was a great shot agreed and yeah the Lou flop didn't help on the 2nd goal. I get what Miller was trying to do there on the first goal I see it all the time. Getting ready for the push-off to cheat on the pass which gets him lower down on his knees which gives Toews the space. Most if not all goalies do it..but it was a killer shot. |

Geez all you arses are getting married... I should get in on this... wait... that would require a willing (or at least drunk enough but not too drunk to give informed consent) partner...
Nah, I'll stick to being a bachelor, being a lone wolf is a lot more fun and variety is the spice of life after all. |

1 fcking hat on the ice? I'm sorry, but that's inexcusable. - CubanBuffet
I was at the game....the reason there were no hats is because no one knew there was a hatrick. Easy mistake when there are twins. Perhaps the announcers should let the fans know? |

Also, from day one I said Prust would be a fan favorite and he took a lot of heat (mainly Nucker) as he was useless too slow etc....we would be lucky to have him beyond this season. Guy is the best 4th liner in hockey |

Look at the way people post here and call into 1040 etc... fans have turned on the team already.

They did just win one game only in a seven game road trip . Also that was the 5 th outright win in 17 games. Fans do have reasons to be a little negative.
Great game Sedins. If they could do that about 20 times more a year the team would be in great position.
I don't think anyone doubts they are the best players on the team. I know when I say move them at TDL it is not because I think they are bad . I say that because like Vrbata and Hamhuis when you hang on too long at the end when you move them you get very little back.
The twins playing like this would each get a first round pick , and at least two very good prospects. That is huge on a team that is rebuilding.
You can see it already the slow down is beginning. Great players with huge value is what I am saying. In two years we will be looking back and saying we should have moved them. Edler too.
Canuck fans are very loyal to their players, I always put the team first and that is why I come across controversial. I value 10 good years of the Canucks more that 2 good years of two players.
Great game hope they have tons more . |

Coffee is awesome this morning...bottoms up! I hope you had a great day with Mrs. Marwood yesterday Marwood
That was fun to watch last night, the twins obviously won the game for them but it was entertaining. Horvat looks a bit lost out there for some reason, but he'll come around, I'm sure.
For a team in transition my expectations are low, although I'm on record as wanting them to win every game I watch. I like what management is doing and I like the direction of their youth movement.
Canucks have to be pretty high on the man-games lost list this season? |

Off to Las Vegas this afternoon for a golf tournament, hopefully the weather stays around 20C for the Vegas Baby Invitational. |
|
|
|
Best case scenario
Edler and the twins to the Ducks for Vatanen Nick Ritchie, Despres and 2 firsts. When their contract is up sign them cheap for a year or two to retire here.
We did it for Trevor and it brought us years of Bertuzzi |

WTF
We'd better be getting a lot more than that if you're trading the twin powers!!! |

Can we stop putting the Sedins in trades? Benning has always been pretty straight up with the media and he said last week that the Sedins will retire canucks.
I think Hamhuis, Vrbata, Prust, and possibly Edler be moved.
So if we do discuss trading the Sedins, I say Hank for McDavid, Klefbolm and 3 1sts and Danny for Karlson, Stone, Z, and 3 1sts. Because my trade is just as plausible as yours |
