They're all reasonable questions. The Flyers don't play with a defense first approach. If the system is going to be blamed, first the system has to be known and identified.

Look at last night's game and the Hoffman and Michalek goals. On both goals, the strong side defenseman is aggressively pinching in on the play, leading to rushes against. Where is the defense first you keep saying the Flyers play?

He can still do that and not be considered the 2nd scoring line.

Look, the goals for average speaks for itself. I'm not solely pinning that on Coots but they do need to fully re-assess the lines top to bottom. I see Coots working best in a defensive role, regardless of how many minutes you give him. I'd like to see a 2C brought in that can really bring the offense and allow Coots to dominate in a defense first role. I think that move is paramount to this team moving forward.

I see Couturier being left in the 2nd line center spot as paramount to the team moving forward. I want to see a LW or RW with speed and offensive creativity bought in to play along side Couturier, to form a better scoring 2nd line.
