Serious question. Do you feel different today? I felt different after I got married. Curious if you feel closer also? - VANTEL
Absolutely!
Felt that way as soon as we decided to get married.
Definitely feel closer. |

Is this your 1st marriage, at your age I figured at least once before. - Makita
Second. Surprisingly even after 18 years of living with her , things changed immediately |

Back to hockey, is the team coming out flat tonight after last night or will there be a desire to chase Schneider.
I'm thinking CS will look all world tonight, and the trade controversy will arise again. It would be awesome if Horvat scored...even more than once would be nice. |

Something is going to go Horvat's way sooner or later it's not like he hasn't been getting quality chances. I like Bo with 2 tonight. It's statement time. |

Do fans think this franchise is headed in the right direction?
Torts' year I thought was going to be a challenge, a transition year with the roster, seemed like we were in a holding pattern, waiting for some contracts to expire. Some of MG's draft picks are finally looking like they are ready to step up and JB has made some good quality picks.
The team is younger and faster than it has ever been, Utica is looking like they are doing well with the prospects and their development.
I just hope everyone can more or less stay healthy so we can see what this team is capable of. Decide who to move and how to proceed. |

I think Comets took a step back because of the promotion of Marky , JV McCann and I think we lost the captain from last year.
Canucks are making good choices. We still don't have top 5 prospects but we have a few good ones.
I will go cliche here. I don't think we are as good as some think and also not as bad as some say. We do have decent players.
We still haven't hit rock bottom but if we don't keep cycling in and out new and old , we will be screwed. I think now we need to dump and buy and grow new talent.
I think we are still a bubble team but we could ebb backwards.
Final word is I think we will get worse before we get better, but it won't be a long transition |

You have to give to get but you shouldn't over pay for a guy who wants out of his current position. - thundachunk
You need a player less because he wants out?
I think price is purely based on the demand.

Yeah. Not that you need him any less but over paying for a guy when he asked for a trade is bad business. Market value is not a top 6 forward and a 1/2 defence for a top 2 defence man. Unless you're Edmonton. |

If we get two more rookies in the line up next season, that will be a pretty big representation of youth... more than most or any team in the NHL... heck... thats where we are now even... according to what I saw reported a couple of games ago.
It's happening. There's no way we see Higgins, Vrbada, Weber here next season. Gaunce and Shink are two candidates to make the team next season and I expect a couple of players to rise from our prospect pool and surprise at camp as well. Our next first rounder may even be on the team next year. In spite of all the crying about it... our GM and Coach have proven they will put teenagers in the line up.

We are going to go through some growing pains but we asked for change and the powers that be are going through with it. I good with that. |

I agree we have JV Markstrom Hutton McCann Bo and Sven. I am not sold on Sven and if Shink comes in I think Sven goes out. Gaunce could easily replace Higgins.
Vrbata Hamhuis need to be replaced with an UFA . |

I have a different philosophy. I think a player can be worth more to individual teams. A player is not like buying an item that goes pretty much for the same price at every store. Some teams need a player way more than another teams because of situations... to those teams... it's not over paying. Just like the asking price isnt the same to each team...
In the end it's not about who pays more/less... it's about the 23 players on your roster... and nothing else. If it costs are above market value for one player, so be it. If you have cap space and the assets to get that player... even if you have to so call over pay... then you have done an excellent job preparing for the possibility that a excellent player will be available and you get your man.
