I have a different philosophy. I think a player can be worth more to individual teams. A player is not like buying an item that goes pretty much for the same price at every store. Some teams need a player way more than another teams because of situations... to those teams... it's not over paying. Just like the asking price isnt the same to each team...

In the end it's not about who pays more/less... it's about the 23 players on your roster... and nothing else. If it costs are above market value for one player, so be it. If you have cap space and the assets to get that player... even if you have to so call over pay... then you have done an excellent job preparing for the possibility that a excellent player will be available and you get your man.

By the way I agree with this statement, but it seems that the vast majority of so called experts, MSM, and hockey buzz posters think opposite and JB overpaid on every acquisition.

The thing about Hamonic is I would like him , but I don't care if we don't get him.
It would be an upgrade for sure but don't sell the farm. I would do Grenier and Tanev for TH.

I think more important next year is will Tryemkin be on the team and who do we pick up to replace Hamhuis.

I think that sets the tone for the future of the team more than Hamonic .

Cleary Snow is asking for more than JB can afford. Hamonic isnt coming here.

I agree we have JV Markstrom Hutton McCann Bo and Sven. I am not sold on Sven and if Shink comes in I think Sven goes out. Gaunce could easily replace Higgins.

Vrbata Hamhuis need to be replaced with an UFA .

Want to see JB make some moves so we can continue to see guys like Grenier get a shot. And even if they are called up just as insurance, sitting in the press box, I think it is good for the player.

Need to draft more d, or make a bold move if the right one is available.

So true and Man is this going to be tough. We all know the Sedins won't be around forever but replacing two players that seem to be around 70-80 points per season consistently is going to be a monumental task.
