watch the sell off at the deadline.. and i bet the team looks as fresh as anything next year.. only next year.. the handful of vets babcock chooses to keep will have huis systems and coaching style down and they will be better leaders for the young guys who make the jump

I don't see how playing well and, God forbid, winning is not consistent with building a strong team for the future, especially while collecting draft pick and picking skilled players. To me that is how you develop and build a proper team.

The future success of this team depends far more on developing those players we have and will keep, both on the Leafs and on their way than hoping we get lucky in the lottery.
