Yeah it's just as dumb as the "pts per 60" stat.
It's designed to make certain players look better than they really are. - Pecafan Fan
pts/60 tries to isolate guy's performance from their playing time to see if they're being misused in the lineup. It needs to be taken in context, like any stat, but it has it's value.
ESSv%... I don't know. I guess the rationale would be that a bad defensive team would suck hard on the PK and that'd cause an otherwise good goalie's sv% to drop? This one does make less sense, IMO. |

I don't think so - he was pegged as a long relief spot starter, which I thought was fine because it was in return Lind. In this case, it's in return for a 26 year old long reliever/possible 5th starter who can touch 97, had a solid season, and is under cheap control for 3-4 more years. - 1979AD
Well yes..that part is strange.
I was more talking about how they could help the Jays.

lately he's more likely to play 50 than 150 i'd say and to pull a Fox with the turf especially that's true.
avg is 98 games over the last 4 years - daeth
Toronto Blue Jays may play on new dirt infield

Gibbons lost faith in Hendricks for some reason. - BingoLady
He relieved Richardey in the second of ALCS game 4 and through 4 strong scoreless innings to keep them within striking distance until Hawkins happened. How could Gibbons have lost faith if that's the last he saw of him? |

I don't like having 3 starters in the rotation that throw under 90mph - Sammich

Ya but just because I get lucky 4 nights out of 7 doesn't mean that I won't consider it lucky to get lucky tonight.

There's the argument that having a knuckleballer in your rotation helps the guy who pitches next: it throws off the opposition team's batters' rhythm. - Atomic Wedgie
there's some truth to that
it's just a personal preference thing with me
hated seeing estrada throw that high fastball in the high 80's, even when works |

guys, I'm no baseball fan...
But didn't Price suck in the playoffs?
Isnt there a guy available who might not be as good in the regular season, but actually can play in the postseason? |

He was bad but if I were to bet I'd say he'll be fine in the playoffs in the future. You don't dominate like he does for 200 innings every season and then forget how to pitch in the playoffs. |

The fact they're better than half the league is scary. - Bigzby
12/13 to today, even strength save %
Bernier 926% (12th)
Reimer 924% (15th)
Some perspective ...
Price, Lundquist and Rask 934% (1st)
Rinne 925%
Quick 923%
Scrivens 912% (the worst) |

So keep pen intact or move Sanchez or Osuna to rotation. Sign a closer? |

Oilers dominated the last 200 drafts and they forget how to hockey all the time. |

I would take my chances with him... in order for him to be questioned in the playoffs.. you need to get there..and he help you get there in a big way |

Looking at the stats this season, Prust should be used in a top 6 role.
I mean... come on. |
