Yes and then it took an epic melt down to get them to rebuild. The same will be true for us. We'd have to go on 14-15 Sens run or a 2011 sabres run to have a shot. If there's enough distance it's likely that we start selling rather than buying.

You can't have a 6 on 4 pp down a goal and have gionta out there for all of it. Just like in the same scenario ROR can't be stick handling through 5 guys like he's Gretzky.

I posted a few pages ago in my guess on each players best slot when it comes to top 4 lines or D pairings, and I had a 3rd line of Moulson, Girgensons, Ennis, which would mean 2 more top 6 wingers are needed, and with Eichel being the top line C sooner rather than later, he needs wingers on each side of him that are of a top line skillset.

That is asking a lot but it is what the team needs, badly.

A playoff appearance helps much more, IMO, next season, not this season.

They need the top end draft position badly one more time this coming draft to both reload their pipeline (although Guhle and Martin are nice prospects along with the 4 forwards that we hope one or two turn out from) and get one of that top line or top D pairing hole filled.

Its too bad tyrod underthrew a TD pass, and then mccoy fails to hang on to another one, although it was a solid play by the defendder. Wouldnt be worrying about the one time gilmore has a bad play.
