7 QBs have started games in the last 4 years. They are "turning the roster over" at least... - stashu
I'm not saying they aren't. What I am scared of is them anointing Tyrod Taylor as "the guy" after this season, and giving him a big contract like the Dolphins did Tannehill. I was ecstatic when the Miami did that because it meant they would be nowhere near Super Bowl contenders for the foreseeable future. |

He did, but let's not make the same mistake we did with Fitz, EJ, Trent and others and think we are set at the position. We aren't. Draft one, and draft one early - sbroads24
Taylor is also "injury prone". |

Sure but the success rate is so low on QBs. It's not like every QB drafted early is a stud, or your even in a position to draft the QB early with your pick. Unless you like "reaching" for your QB to draft a losman or Manuel. QB is the hardest position and is getting harder. Like I said in my last point there are very few elite QBs and almost all of them are old and will be out of the league soon. The NFL will be a pool of mediocrity in 5 years |

No, they aren't, which is why you figure that out sooner rather than later, then draft another one, until you finally land him. |

So draft a QB every year in the 1st rd only giving them their rookie year to prove themselves until they are replaced next year by the new rookie. Amazing strategy. I bet that GM will last long in the league.
That kind of sounds like Jacksonville. That's a good team to emulate.

His contract expires in 2017, so hopefully they're going to leave it alone (average salary of under $1.2 Million for him) |

There are indicators outside the win column that can tell you if someone is going to be great. There are also indicators that show he is most likely going to merely be good, mediocre, or poor. The great personnel people are the ones that identify those quickly. If they show any of the latter, you draft another one. |

Did anyone actually say to do this?
I would rather draft QB's every year until you find the right one, than attempt to build around an average one.

If you're referring to Tyrod, his contract has some weird thing in it if he played a certain amount of snaps or something that the 3rd year gets voided (a friend was telling me about it last night). I'm fairly certain he surpassed that last night. |

Oh wow, that's weird. Well, he still has one more season left then rather than 2. |

It's the NFL, where contracts aren't guaranteed. He can easily hold out and get a bigger contract. |

Oh, I know, but chances are probably slim he'd get one in Buffalo (at least for any realistic money, though he is being paid horribly as even a satisfactory starter). |

I'm afraid that if Taylor has a good end of the year, they will be talking extension before next year
QB'S usually get resigned before they go into the least year of there deal |

The NHL site in general loads painfully slow.
Or at least, it always seems to for me. |

I'm fine with them signing him to an extension so long as it's reasonable. Like Buff19 said, I do not want them signing him to a Tannehill like contract. |

Yeah, I just noticed that as I went to it to get to the stats pages. Hopefully it gets better in the new year when MLB takes over. |

60% of games over year 1 and 2. Then he gets player option type deal on 3rd year. So we are still good for all of next season. I wouldnt expect anything any time soon as far as a contract with him goes. To many important pieces. Gilmore being #1. Bradham being #2 |
