So Highway 407 in near Toronto is the biggest rip-off going. It's one of those express toll routes, where they take a picture of your license plate and then send you a bill in the mail. Traveled a grand total of 15 miles on that highway. Was charged $16. - buffalofan19
I drove on it, not knowing what it was until afterwards. Looked up my license plate to see how much it was, and I guess they didn't catch it because they charged be nothing. Even put a credit on it for signing up

Yeah, apparently you get 100 free kilometers for getting an account.
EDIT: You can also buy/receive gift cards for this thing.

You actually don't have to pay that, or any red light camera tickets. You have your right to a trial when it comes to these things and a camera can't show up in court to go against you. Also cannot prove that you were driving the vehicle if you look it up online there are a plethora of articles on how to get out of those and not have to pay. Just an FYI.

The 407 is actually run by a private entity. I think all those loopholes, which are shaky at best, go out the window just by that fact alone.

Right.
And if your trash is picked up by a private collector, you can ignore those bills, also.

He got a letter 6 months or so later stating that there was no fine do and that he was not responsible for anything. They bank on the fact that people will just mail them money not know their rights.
