im glad you guys are finally seeing what ROR is all about, but man this time last year this blog was split 50/50 with I like ROR but hes an over hyped 2nd line player opinions

Its his hockey IQ that is off the charts, seems to be in the right spot at the right time for either the simple offensive or defensive play. Doesn't have the god gifted natural scoring ability and hands that some of the elite goal scorers do...but he works his tail off to make up for it. So many things he doesn't just doesn't show up on the score sheet.

The only thing I wish he was just a bit more physical of a player, not that hes soft, just never throws the body around. However he will stay healthy for a long time bc of it

Yeah, and he just flat doesn't take penalties. I don't understand how he can play the way he does, but not take penalties. In 13-14 he took 1 minor penalty in 80 games! How many accidental high sticks are there in a season, or where a guy steps on your stick and you get whistled. Yet he just somehow manages to avoid those. He was straight up undisciplined last year with 12 whole PIM in 82 games.

I think this could be the week boys(and girls) I'm down by 40 and I only have one more game than the other guy, but I do have Kane(Patrick obviously) and he doesn't, and he took Price and I didn't and he might be out again, so I guess anything's possible.

How about O'reilly is just the drunkest player on the team.

When they don't meet expectations? (although you'd think bylsma would be first).

General consensus around the league was they were still going to be bad, just not last place bad. So far they've done that while not looking completely overwhelmed in every loss they take.

I think the goaltending situation alone is enough to put him on the hot seat

I am shocked he never addressed the back up in the off-season, and more shocked he has not addressed it since his boy went down in the first week

that 1 minor penalty was a weird one too, he broke his stick on a faceoff and didnt realized it, kept on playing and tried to play the puck with his broken stick....2 mins

Such a kick in the nuts for him to get his only minor penalty in that manner.

He has control over his stick at all times, its really remarkable when you watch him knife a puck out of a scrum and is able to strip a guy of the puck by just a quick little stick lift
