Least likely to be traded IMO:
McDavid
Nurse
Hall
Draisaitl
Klefbom

- OilerFan16

Going towards the future thats probably correct...so that leaves guys like Nuge and Ebs out there for starters...not bad trade pieces if it came to that

If you make that trade, then get McDavid back in January, that pick might not even be a lottery pick. No guarantee, of course, but that combination makes you much more competitive. Plus, I think Faulk would mesh well with Sekera...

Lets say Nuge was thrown out there would you accept?

20% shot at Matthews at best...and honestly if the Oilers won another first overall the NHL might just fold

Lots of guys arent contrary to popular belief
- RatedR80

Popular belief because they haven't done it yet...seems obvious to an outsider, maybe they have tried and the forwards aren't valued around the league as much as one would think. GMs look at more than points, do any of these guys remember how to win?

Losing draisaitl doesn't make us more competitive

Leon and a lottery pick for Faulk?

Jesus people

Faulk is great. Absolutely love to have him, but Jesus

Leon and hall carry this team offensively.
And he's still a child. His potential is through the roof. Like superstar elite centre.
And he has the size and tool set that we have very little of in our skilled positions. As in we don't.
And he's one of our best defensive forwards.
6'3-gonna play at 220. With elite skills. And fantastic defensively.
Marian effin Hossa.

And you want a lottery pick along with him. To be honest, I don't even want the pick. But this shouldn't suggest it's not valuable

That trade is how we get better?

Yeah, no

Ebs and another solid shot at first overall is more than fair for Justin faulk

Probably not. Part of the reason Faulk might be available is time line; in two years he is likely our oldest D at 25. If we trade him, then I think we want a forward back who is closer in age to our D and still on an ELC. Plus, we probably get rid of Eric Staal, so we also need a potential #1 center. Draisaitl fits better on those counts. For the Canes to move Faulk, I think Draisaitl would have to be a player returning. Just my opinion, of course.

Agreed to say we would give up both Drai and a shot at the #1 for Faulk makes zero sense at all...what is with these fans and their one sided trade proposals?

Nuge is 22 years old and would fill your #1 slot no problem especially if you guys get rid of Staal...he puts up points and plays a decent two way game...16 points in 21 games puts him 2nd on your team...how is that not a #1 center?

I might as well wipe my as with this team. On second thought, the idea is to wipe the poop from my ass, not add more to it.

Justin Faulk is not being traded. The guy is the next Captain of the Hurricanes and is quickly becoming the face of the franchise.

Trading him right now would be utterly ridiculous unless the payment was way over-the-top.

It's ridiculous to even consider. Of all the players on the team that could be traded, Faulk is about as untouchable as a player can get.

id assume it was more just an opportune time for your canes fan cohort to remind us how awesome faulk is and how we'll be terrible forever unless we let someone rape us in trade.
