I will do the who would you prefer thing.

Who would you prefer 3 Rd line LW

Sven, Gaunce Higgins or Burrows? My answer is Gaunce.

Who would you prefer 2 nd line LW Sven Burrows JV Ladd Lucic or someone else? My answer is anyone but Sven

Sven needs more time in Utica.
-VANTEL

In 3rd line role, it depends on the makeup and opponent, but I would generally lean towards Sven for youth and offensive touch. Gaunce to me has a nose for the dirty goals but Sven has more capabilities overall to generate offense (key word capabilities )

I just dont see what else Sven can do in Utica. He has been an offense generator in that league for a while. Last season he was the go-to guy and largely he delivered. If he cant cut it in the NHL this season I would rather see him go to Europe for his development than AHL

Should it not be a concern our second line has a combine 7 goals? I don't mind , as I said many times I see us as a bottom 10 team this year. I would be concerned next year if you were sending a player to play top 6 with less than 10 goals

Sven is basically turning into Higgins Lite without the upside...

Agreed, this season is a bit of a throw away. We will get whatever we get but I like the effort they are giving in putting most of the kids in a place to succeed. If Sven (and frankly Horvat as a 2nd line center offensively) hasn't figured it out by next season I'll definitely be concerned

I don't understand why Dorsett doesn't sh&t on more here - I've watched every game this year and he's absolutely useless on the ice every night. He skates fast - i'll give him that, but he doesn't score, he barely connects with hits, he over skates pucks, he falls down twice a shift for no reason - do we really need him when we have Prust as our tough guy, agitator, hitter, penalty killer, that actually makes a difference each night? To me Cracknell/Virtanan replaces our need for Dorsett...

any thoughts on mini D.....

Carol as far as waivers go, a team protecting their own prospect is fine with me. What the Leafs did is hitting below the belt even though they didn't break any rules. I said it before . Get them back by attacking their RFA list this year of unsigned prospects and players. Make them overpay or steal their prospects.

except Weise is on pace to score 35 goals this year as a 4th liner with one of the greatest mullets ever to grace the ice...

Just seen on Twitter Dreger Portzine and another media guy saying Ryan Johansen is mildly in play. He can be had for the right price.

For those asking who could replace Henrik? This deal makes sense in the offseason when we have cap space.

It would be expensive though

i like that lineup just fine.
Much better than Higgens on 2nd line.
Spread some of the (potential) scoring around, got to try something to get Vrby going.

Nice.
Rick Nash pt 2.
Would like to join the Canucks.
What would be asking price for a fatty 4th liner??

It would easily start with Cassels and maybe Dorsett as filler pieces.

I could see them asking McCann Cassels and a first .
