I've never liked the 2 ref system, the ice is too small as it is and more often then not the officials end up ruining plays by being obstacles on the ice. Not to mention penalties are called by the ref that's far away from the play rather than the one closest to it.

Well i enjoy a rough n edgy game but i find too many hacks n crosschecks go uncalled. Biggest peeve is every legal big hit seems a fight has to happen. Thats total BS when lil pukes run around with impunity. Idc if games r filled with power plays if it creates goals n its a penalty so be it. Call every slash n crosscheck. A push is not a crosscheck but the shots r n nobody can tell me thats how to play tough. Lastly nail the divers to the X they r the lowest of the low. Fakers r disgusting n its not soccer.

Here is my thoughts on the possible Carolina trade. You won't like it.

We needs a second line LW . Skinner. We also need a stud Dman .

They needs a solid D guy..

I don't think Edler would waive. The only one left is Tanev. I would never do Tanev straight up for Skinner but I would for Fluery Skinner.

Canes have Hanafin so they could give up Fluery.

Baertschi Tanev , for Skinner Fluery.

0.0002 % chance of happening , but can't see anything else either team would have interest in.

It could also be a three way deal for Hamonic . I heard early in the trade rumours that EDm was looking at using Car to get Hamonic.

Agree never have been a fan of two refs. Too much interference down low and when the puck hits the ref the play should be called dead immediately. Too many goals scored by pucks hitting refs and bouncing into an offensive scoring chance. I get the fact that the players are bigger and faster and such but the game can still be managed properly by one referee. It would have been easier just to give the linesmen a bit more power to call penalties than add the second ref. It's easier for bettman and his merry band of idiots to apply game management with the second ref...that's why it was brought in.

I going to be negative here. Last nights game was $hit. They didn't deserve to win. Horrible referees. Another 3rd period breakdown. I could make this into a real rant but (frank) it. It isn't worth it. A win is a win but I am not seeing it translate into the change that needs to happen for this team to be competitive. Right now our division is the weakest in the league and Phoenix (the worst team in the league last year)is one point behind us. Can't say I am real impressed with the late period breakdowns.

We still aren't a difficult team to play against. Not expecting Pedan to be the answer, but would like to see him in the lineup.

The refs in hockey are the worst in pro sports. I think the 2 refs is just to handle the scrums and such. Too often there is an infraction and one ref doesn't see it and I swear the other ref must think if the other guy isn't calling it, neither am I.
