I think it's too funny that ortio clears waivers when the reason the flames went with a 3 headed monster was cause they thought all their goalies were so valuable romo cleared earlier too

Wow, when I got to work today I opened HB to read the flames blog and saw 92 comments. I was surprised to read that most posts were involving ways for angry closet homosexuals to cope with themsleves. Still a good read though

You must not have been reading all the stories with regards to our management actively pursuing a goaltender at the draft. Every trade rumor that came out during the draft involved Calgary being interested. Nobody thought Ramo or Hiller were even considered in the top 15 in the league. We all hoped that Ortio could be a good backup for this year but It appears management made a wise decision to send him back where he will be busy getting playing time.

I’m just glad we didn’t give up 3 picks for back up goalie from the best team in the NHL last year and expect him to change the worst team in the nhl around. You guys got played! And don’t come back and tell me that know oilers fans expected there team to be better this year with all the moves made. That’s just getting old too. Maybe the problem with the oiler organization is that expectations are always the same or less
