Did he really need any other Ace up the sleeve than "I am decriminalizing Marijuana", to win it? In the age where policies/statements that are hot topics in social media, win elections?

They have him projected as a solid starter, not a journeyman. A journeyman is Peter Budaj, a guy that might keep the crease for a half season and then gets outplayed. A solid starter is an everyday NHL goalie...

Don't know why I bother responding. See the giant 7 at the top of his page? Go look what that equates to.

No one was played.
circumstance and what's available.

What goalies that are slam dunks are available?
Even the ones that might be abit more proven probably cost far more. And are only marginally less of a question mark.
Are you really glad your gm didn't give up 3rd and 4th rounders?
You're either mistaken about the value of those as well the statistical possibility of one making the show. Or would you really rather have your 4th and holler than a shot at a goalie who might be better...

Your reply was so bad. It made no sense for so many reasons

But the Oilers organization has continually failed to address what ails them. D and goaltending. You have a plethora of young, uber-talented forwards up front and as soon as you won another lottery and had McDavid, Chiarelli should have been on the phone offering one or more of the "untouchables" to address those needs.

Sekera is better but still not what the Oil needed. Talbot has been marginally better but again still not what was needed. I don't profess to having any insight on what any teams GM is doing or attempted to do but offering up a RHN, Hall (whomever) + to obtain (insert impact player here) would seem to move the Oil forward not maintaining status quo.

I think you guys have suffered enough. Management needs to be brash and pull something that shakes the organization and tells the fans they're serious because other wise the same old song and dance gets old, I imagine even for you guys...

But I have no idea how to "Tweet", and the last time I tried attaching tiny messages to the talons of large chickens, it didn't turn out so well.

Nenshi won an election via twitter... he's not the sharpest tack so there's hope for you...

Isn't that why we have an NDP government in the province? Prentice made some stupid comments in an interview, that were slathered over the internet in as thick a layer as Jero does to himself with spicy Thai sauce at Madame Treme's, and because the average voter is an idiot, they had cardboard cutouts run for seats, and won them in the recent Provincial election?

I really don't think there's much to be done about tending.
They develop brossoit and wait.
There's 2 bluechippers out there in vasilevsky and Gibson. Aside from the fact that they'd cost a ton- we don't even know if they're movable.
or u wait for them to be ready to move bishop or Anderson. When's that?
And from what we've seen from Anderson this year- he's no slam dunk.

As far as defence- they've signed who they could while waiting for nurse/klefbom.

Aside from the fact that I assume chiarelli probably wanted to get an idea who's part of the problem/solution before heads any moves- it's only been 20 games. And he hasn't had near a full roster to gauge it. Makes it much tougher.
Plus, we're desperate- u think any gms are willing to give us help without bending us over. And how many gms are ready to give up at this point?

A move will be made. I just don't think it's gonna happen unless it actually helps us.

As u said- we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. It's not like our gms aren't aware we have forwards and an inexperienced defence
