It's not that i think we can't score, it's that the amount we'd have to pay them to come here would just be bad cap management. Id rather they make a trade for a cost controlled player.

I hear ya. It is difficult to pull off those type of trades. If we want to progress forward in the re-build, we're gonna have to be active in free agency. Not spend crazy money but play the game.

Agreed. Tampa did it right under yzerman with Stralman and Filppula (well up until callahan). That's what I'd want us to do.

The Tampa model is a good one.

Not sure Reinhart could be that 1st line RW, probably too early to tell.

In my opinion, he is not even a top pairing guy.
At least Myers had the odd real nice game here and there.
Kane is huge disappointment in my eyes thus far but we'll see I guess.
As far as O'Reilly goes?
He is the best player on this team by a country mile!!!
If we lost him to injury, that is when you can begin talking about tanking once again.
Let's be honest here, Murray's trades look pretty poopty at this point.

I like them both, but frankly I give the edge to date to Eichel. He does things that gets the opposition keying on him and Reinhart uses his hockey smarts to make plays in the offensive zone. They're completely different types, and I like that.
