Canucks can really struggle against the heavy teams and refs...
- hillbillydeluxe

During the wild game there was a comment about the refs giving PP so the games go to OT, then last night it happened for the canucks, I hate refs influencing the outcome. Contrary to Kaptaans post(IMO), if this team didn't have the twins, or say one goes down, we're picking 5th overall.

Story of the season. All those blown 3rd periods aren't all our fault.

It would certainly make it tough to be a playoff team. The reffing makes me sick. least professional of the major sports.

Other than Bure the Sedins are the most dynamic players this team has ever had. Far and away the best players this team has ever had on and off the ice. I for one feel privileged to have been able to see them play live so much. 5th over all without them? You are absolutely right.

The last 3 seasons have really been a let down as far as refereeing is concerned. This statement is an understatement.

What surprises me is that the canucks are a bubble team (thought they'd be well outside), but so is LA and Anahiem.

True enough...but I don't buy the 'make the playoffs anything can happen' theory. You have to be built for the playoffs...we aren't even if we squeak in.

Not necessarily, it helps, but it helps more if you're healthy and have a goaltender that gets hot at the right time and the right matchups ala LA 2012

LA in 2012 prime example. They did deserve it for sure, but they had a lot of luck during that run.

Daniel going down won't be as bad as losing Henrik, and if Henrik goes down while Sutter is still out, we'll be in real trouble.

who is this guy, had a good season last year...

2002, there is a draft worth forgetting, Burke makes Gillis look like a genius with that disastrous draft, 11 picks and nothing to show for it.

that PP goal by Hank on the pass from Dank was classic... the announcers in Big D were marvelling at it... along with the fans... people who watch the sedinery regularly are kinda spoiled.

I hope people realize just how good they've had it since the Sedins really took over this team...

if the stars lose Benn/ Seguin for any period of time they slip to a wild card or worse in the Central...

if Chicago were to lose Kane/ Keith they don't make the playoffs for example... as it is JJ thinks they are a bubble team. they are less than that when one of Kane/ Crawford/ Keith are off their game or performing below the elite level close to their peak...

only a few teams can handle losing a top two player from their team and still stay competitive... losing a top player (1/2) on your team puts you in dire straights...

I agree that a hot goalie can fluke you through just like Patrick Roy did and few others but it's very rare. Playoffs are a different beast and again you have to be built for it.

The last few seasons I'd agree with you, but Daniel's playing his best hockey in years right now.

Amazing results can happen when you shoot the puck. I don't know how many times last year I said we had two centres on the first line. Even Hank is shooting more.

We wake up today tied for 18/19 with TB

We are a couple of points ahead of Ducks

EDM and TOR should be demoted to the AHL , year after year they just suck . Bringing decades of disappointment and shame .

He looked promising on the 2003 moose putting up numbers but had a bad plus minus though. I think he just couldn't adjust to North America.

Medvedev hasn't really worked out for Philadelphia.

What I thought that TO had the best goalie in the league right now?
