I can't comprehend that they're are this many ways to lose football games - sbroads24
I am sure they still have a few more surprises up their sleeves.
We really missed Kyle Williams.
Close call on Hogan catch called incomplete.
Close call on fourth down spot.
penalties on almost every special teams play.

Coaching staff should all be fired for not challenging the Hogan catch, clearly had possession. |

Taylor didn't get the spot. It was the right call.
The Bills lost this game well before the Hogan call. The Chiefs adjusted. The Bills didn't. The officiating in the NFL has been sub-part all season. In fact, it's been this way for a while. It doesn't change things. This was a matter of a bad team finding yet another way to lose. |

Sam Reinhart and Tyler Myers have 0 to do with eachother.
Reinhart isn't the best forward in his class right now. That's not even argument worthy - sbroads24
Sorry it does with you . You have turned into Mr Negative in regards to anything that has been done since then and anything Tim Murray has done. Lighten up! Life and the Sabres are not near as grim as you would lead everyone to believe. I have watched Oiler games and specifically tried to concentrate on the big german. Away from the puck he is not near a complete a player as Reinhart. I think Reinhart keeps developing as well . Points are not everything.

It was a safe pick after seeing the problems with grigorenko. Pick the best ,low risk, north american foward. |

Disagree. Points are everything. Score more than the other team and you win.
I know, playing defense is important to stop the other team from scoring.
But defense is not a problem with this team. Scoring points is.
I would much rather have a top two pick in the NHL draft be offensive. Find grinders elsewhere to be the defensive forwards. |

Draisaitl-Reinhart is just like McDavid-Eichel. We're not going to know who ends up being the better player for at least a few more years. That being said, Draisaitl was always more offensively gifted. I don't know anybody that disputed that. He's playing a system that suits him really well. |

They have a better version of Draisaitl in Eichel. I think we're going to end up seeing the package deal end up being better with Reinhart.

He's averaging over a PPG. He's better than Sam Reinhart right now.
He's also a plus player, so "away from the puck" he isn't that bad.
Reinhart may end up better than all of them, but he isn't close yet, and yes that's a little discouraging |

Well, it certainly seems like full time Hockey season.
The Bills are basically unlikeable/sabres, though flawed, are easy to root for
Sabres are very well coached, the Bills, well.....
Is there any doubt our first world championship (no offense Bandits) will involve a luck not a football? Though we're a few years away from contending

He's right, though. At this very moment, Draisaitl is the better player, and it's not debatable.

Bills completely outcoached with halftime adjustment. Down to an exciting finish for our playoff lives. Our defense let us down that last drive. They started at their 11. Now we need the two point conversion which drops our odds in half to not lose in regulation. - SabresPanacea

I think part of them going with Sam instead of Draisaitl or Bennett is the fact that they were both projected to essentially end up on the wing and not center. At the time, we really needed to make sure we had a guy that could play on the dot and Reinhart looked to be the guy out of all of them better suited to stay there in the NHL.
That said, I don't know that any of them are currently playing center and for us, it doesn't really matter because we have O'Reilly and Eichel that are more than capable of being a 1-2 punch. We had neither of them when Reinhart was picked though.
In most cases in the NHL, during the draft teams pick BPA. But when you're picking that high and nobody really stands out as better than another, you see teams pick the guy they do based on BPA at the position they need most. |
