The superstars 1st overalls, all play like Kessel, except with less heart.
Draisatl plays with a little energy though and McDavid seemed to make a difference to the team when he was in the lineup.
But yeah, it is time to remove that "untouchable" label from most of them. At this point, I think Draisatl, McDavid and Nurse would be the only untouchables. RNH, Eberle, Hall, Yak can all be dealt. - Aetherial
i think they make no moves until they know where they're drafting, at least. no reason to rush anything for Chiarelli. i mentioned this yesterday... that playoff drought doesn't exist as far as he's concerned and he's not going to be haunted by it. |

in Bernier's defense he is kinda looking at the possibility of his career being ended
if the leafs decide to keep sparks up, and waive bernier, and he clears...... - Dozzer
Do you think he would clear?
I think it would be a little surprising if he was claimed, but it is possible.

He would still be the last one of the bunch I would trade but I thought he looked horrible last night.
I also think there is something rotten in that group of high picks. The continue to absolutely fail. McDavid was starting to turn them around, but as soon as he is gone they are right back to sucking. Hall has to own that as much as the rest of them. - Aetherial
I think Hall looked good last night, dangerous every shift. |

It isn't the playoff drought that should be his concern.
It is that a good honest look at this team has to be pretty disturbing. How can you be happy with what you are seeing out of those guys. Their "superstars" aren't improving.
(unless McDavid is there apparently) |

he still has nearly $3 million left his year and $4 million next year. that's a pill few teams can swallow. |

We dont know that he didnt.
I was saying I didnt like the "no comment" remark. - Fakepartofme
Yeah I agree... I meant instead of "no comment" he could have said something positive. At the very least he needs to be a team guy in front of the mic. |

Eberle would be 1/1A with Yak for being moved... except that Yak seemed to have good chemistry with McDavid.

I dont know what the specific question was, but it was reported that he responded "no comment"
I understand you're pissed or worried......but "no comment"? Not acceptable in my mind. - Fakepartofme
Absolutely I agree. But without knowing the question, I don't think we should hate him for his comment. There's enough to hate him for than unfounded rumours |

Similar to Kadri. Everyone expects so much. Every once in a while they do something spectacular, and are thought of as a quality player for a couple of days.
But they are similar. Underachieving.
Kadri finally hit the back of the net.. Well kind of. |

The salary is the killer. If he was cheap you know some team would pick him up.
I know the Leafs are trying to actually win, but it seems like they really should be giving Bernier as much work as they can. There is no way he plays himself out of this or ups his value when he is sitting on the bench.

Bernier looked very happy for Sparks on the ice after game.. People looking for reasons to hate Bernier right now. He isn't the brightest person on the team so no matter what he says it doesn't seem to come out right. - Popcorn Kid
This. I get we all hate Bernier, but now we are pisses at him for saying no comment, although we don't know what the question was. |

Don't agree.
He is the most talented of guys I left off the list but he looks just about as disinterested as the rest.
None of us knows what the room is like there. They need to believe Chiarelli will identify and correct the problems. The Seguin trade would not give me a lot of hope though. |
