mule used to be clutch in the playoffs...way too many concussions.

i think Komarov is more of a Gary Roberts type guy personally

- Lucas Neilson

Doesn't have Gary's skill or finish. Even in his leaf years.

Who I also think is a pretty solid player.
- mykokes

he's a usefule player but his scoring binge early on will likely inflate his numbers and surprise surprise, he's UFA. someone will give him like $4 million or something.

But it's not a demotion. It can only be for 2 weeks, after which he needs to come back up, and his cap still counts towards the total.

The guy clearly needs a conditioning stint, even if it's just to improve the condition of his confidence.

Nobody would ever go on waivers then???

Silly.

pfft Komarov is shooting a very sustainable 22.7%
- senstroll

It's interesting that Kadri's linemates in the past when they're scoring have a high shooting percentage. Frattin comes to mind. Same with MacArthur when he was with Kadri. Lupul too.

When you bang in rebounds from 12 inches away, I think your percentage will be a little higher than normal

Maybe not 22% but.......

He's an ideal third liner who can rotate into the top 6 for short spurts.
Mule was like that too, he just excelled at going to the net to collect the garbage.

well it's based on performance and not inactivity... so the NHL would decide otherwise, i assume.

No, because if you want to send a guy down to stay with the AHL team for a longer period than 2 weeks, or want to get him off the cap(at least partially), you'd put him on waivers.

You make this sound simple...its not. I know a few Leafs that typically bang the rebounds directly into the goalies pads or chest protector.

he is but he's the kind of guy that contending teams pay $2 million, and the dregs of the league pay $4 million.

You can't just put someone on a stint without being out of the lineup.

Leafs did it with Tellqvist a while back.

I have a feeling once Reimer is healthy, Bernier might see a pretty big period of inactivity.

Evaluation complete. Bernier is all yours. Stee will deliver him in time for the Columbus game. Look for the guys in matching fedoras.

I think you're missing the six seasons before he nearly retired where he was over a ppg and very much an offensive force. i.e. 50 goals.

Leafs and Edmonton would make good trading partners

Send them Bozak, Reimer, Dion and Komagod for picks, prospects and cap dumps

Just easier to score from a rebound than with a wrister from the top of the circle is all I mean...for sure he's getting a little luck...but hard work leads to good things...Komarov is one of the smartest players I've seen in a Leaf uniform in a very long time.

He's so smart without the puck always in the right spot. Uses his body, geez....I'm starting to get a woody

What don't you understand about this.. ?? Is Kadri not under achieving ?
- bixll

Give it up Bix.

No sense debating this one.

One of two things will happen. He will start to produce, or eventually people will be forced to agree that this pace of getting points is really only acceptable for a 4th liner.

oh you said when he was a leaf, yeah i know he was a phenom in his Calgary days.

I just mean moreso they play a similar game, crash and bang, hard to the net, never give up.
