Translated Russian interview with Soshnikov. The interviewer clearly tries to goad him into talking poop about the AHL, and trying to make him feel like he made a bad choice to come to N.A. now that he's forced to toil in the minors instead of playing in the esteemed pro league of the glorious motherland with questions like:
"I think that your old coaches in Russia would be shocked to know that you don’t play powerplays, but is more specializing in penalty killing."
The kid holds his own though, I'm impressed.

They literally have admitted that it is not a sport but a WWE style of entertainment. Read the whole article... they could not give apoop about the players... it is a blood sport.

I did read it. Is anyone surprised that they allow fighting and poop like that for entertainment purposes only? Does anyone actually believe the Don Cherry BS about it making the game safer? I didn't think anyone still did. |
