Glad to see the Coots line finally getting rewarded for playing well. - Tomahawk
Simmonds has revved up his game lately, I think that's the key to the offense. Read and Couturier have been playing strong hockey for a while now.

Definitely is nice to see some production, especially since Giroux is carrying Raffl again and Schenn at 1RW isn't ideal |

Sixers won! Is the tank over? Are they entering the next phase of Hinkie's master plan? - MJL
I KNOW!
I pretended like it was 1984 and I was switching back and forth between Prism and Channel 17 to watch when the Flyers and Sixers were both relevant and on at the same time. I had a great time!
I know the Flyers are (ultimately) going to be middling this year, but I really, really wish the Sixers weren't so utterly unwatchable.

That is exactly it -- You cannot be scared to bench a player who is that toxic - AllInForFlyers
It would be like sitting Giroux at age 37 after he'd won 5 cups with the Flyers |

Didn't he draft Marcus Smith? Sign DeMarco Murray?
No, I've had enough of Duckboy. - BiggE
Murray is just the wrong fit. He's a between the tackles downhill runner, now he's getting the ball out of the gun and running sideways off tackle. Not his game.

I agree with some comments made by some recent NBA execs. The way the Sixers are being run is an embarrassment.

He needs a talking to. I feel like they'll sit him more and more. Theres a good chance he'll get injured too. Byron Scott is a horrible coach.
It's frustrating that they made such an effort to be better and they're going to end up with a top 3 pick I want that (frank)ing pick this year! |

Oh, and I don't care about that Medvedev give away.
He better not be sitting with Vinny the next game.
He needs to play. |

Well, the guy that signed him is calling the plays. I don't think Murray fits in Kelly's offense. Too bad Chip couldn't see that before he massively overpaid him.
Kelly's problem is that he thinks his high tempo system is the key to winning. The key to winning is to have a good QB and top notch talent at key positions along with good depth across the board. The Eagles are 0 for 3. |

I think Murray could work if they had a QB that was a threat to actually run the ball.
That's not Sam Bradford. |

Completely agree. Murray is not a good fit for the style of play. It's a QB driven league. He has no playmakers on offense, and his lack of ball control has completely worn down the defense.

He's an I formation, between the tackles running back.

It was a giveaway, you know? I didn't love the play, but it absolutely happens in almost every game I watch. A lot of them simply don't wind up in the net

That's not going to bother the coaches to the point where they'll sit him out.

True, but functionally, a running QB would make certain plays that they try far more feasible. |

It was a bad play. You can't just crap on the guy just because he made one bad play.
Love the way he asked for the puck just before he scored. He obviously cares. Coach the guy up a little. Coming over to a new country, doesn't know the language.....he's obviously got skills. How about coaching him up a little? |

Pretty much. What bothers me is that both Cousins and Laughton didn't do the right thing either. Every commentator was singling out Medvedev, who did err. But as soon as he blasted it I knew he was looking for Laughton. Laughton wasn't looking for it was the problem. Then Cousins made a lazy backcheck on the puck carrier. Medvedev is one of the best exit d men on the team. Schultz fails a clear 20 times a game. If scratches were made based on failed clears, all the d men would be a (frank)ing scratching post. Meow.
