They're on a three-game winner -- I don't even know WTF this board is gonna look like if they take it in the ditch anytime soon

At least we can look back at today and see that people did actually say Giroux was good at some point

most ppl think he's good but when you win one playoff series and miss the playoffs two times in 4 years, the pitchforks and torches are coming out.

Your level of ignorance is astounding.

Don Sanderson, a defenseman with the Whitby Dunlops in Ontario’s top senior amateur league, died this morning in Hamilton after three weeks in a coma caused when his unprotected head struck the ice during a fight on Dec. 12.

Sanderson sustained massive head trauma after his helmet came off during the fight, and he and the player he was fighting both fell to the ice.

Wait, you were being serious?

To be clear, yes, I do understand that is a risk, but it is a very remote risk. There are much greater risks taken on every shift.

I'm sorry allow me to prostate myself before the alter of elite better than everyone else all knowing flyer fans because i am ok with ppl criticising the face of a franchise who makes 8 million a year on team that can't make the playoffs, with solid goaltending and teams that are better on paper than several flyer teams that have made the playoffs. Glad you guys are satisfied with perpetual mediocrity.

If this was basketball you would have an argument. He is one guy on a roster of 23 and hockey is a sport where your worst players are just as important as your best. Your misguided criticism just makes you look like an eagles fan with nothing better to do.

Here's the think about Giroux. Your best players should spark the team through hardwork and intensity. Giroux doesn't do much of that at all. Look at Steph Curry or Klay Tompson. Steph Curry steps up his game and energies his team and makes everyone play better. The same cannot be said for Giroux.

Trade Giroux for Steph Curry. We would have to throw in a 1st and an old Iverson jersey, still not sure that gets it done

see that's the problem you take it like i have an axe to grind. I don't but i'm not gonna act like the guy is above all criticism. Personally No I don't see him as elite, very good but not elite in my book. Reason being he needs to be able to line up against and be able to beat anybody they send out there against him. He couldn't do it against new jersey a few years ago the playoffs and was stymied for most of the series against new york. Ok he played against girardi etc... but at some point you gotta beat the guys they send at you he can't.
