I can see that happening . Sabres are due for hi scoring night (not against them) - cabin
I would just like to see us play the first 20 a pinch better... i love that we pour it on for the last two periods but our starts lately have been lackluster |

Agreed. Our goalies need to get into the mentality that they played a period before the puck drops. |

Personally, i don't get the love for Fowler. Has had a few nice seasons, but 34 points isn't world beating. He's been an underachieving player most of his career. That said, I don't watch enough Ducks games to know if it's all about intangibles. - nfph
Points for a defenseman mean nothing to me really. They're a bonus but if my defense gets 0 points and lets up nothing that's a win. That's why the Norris is a joke nowadays.
That said, when I do watch the ducks, which isn't as much as it used to be, even with players like Perry and Getzlaf on the ice Fowler always stood out to me. I want to say last playoffs or the one before he was by far the best player on the ice for the games I was watching.
For me, Ennis is an okay player. He's going to put up some goals and have some speed and make a few good plays but at the end of the day he's okay. Pysyk has looked like a solid defenseman that can play a 2nd pairing role effectively. Neither of those pieces are the big crucial piece that's incredibly hard to find, although they're not a dime a dozen either.I think Fowler is a big enough upgrade to Pysyk that you can give up a piece like Ennis. |

very disciplined player
81 penalty minutes in 371 games played
left handed shot
turns 24 tomorrow
can run the pp
can play pk
IMO he would be perfect to play with risto, and appears to be the type of player murray goes after
I would love a top 4 that included him for the next 5 years |

Larsson, Schaller, and Pysyk for Yakapov and a 2nd round pick in 16. A hockey trade to better both teams. They get grit and a potential top 4 dman. We ge a winger that shoots and can keep up with Eichel. |

a maybe top 4 D, 1 bottom 6 player, and a borderline NHLer for a top 6 forward and a high 2nd round pick?
Come on not a chance Edmonton takes that |

I don't see yak as a fit, maybe it's me
I have a strange feeling the only way murray goes after a winger is if he is a great 2 way player, wheeler/bergeron type guy on the wing (younger and up and coming)

Our defense has been solid. We need to find wingers that click with eichle and trim down our roster by cutting the fat |

Schaller never looks out of place when he is called up. Pysyk is a homer for them, and Larsson excelled in top minutes last year better than Grigorenko. I guess this one just looks like a good fit for both on paper. The oilers are desperate (if they don't think they are than wtf????) they need better bottom 6 players.
Tim did ship our Russians out of town but it would be a mistake for him to be stubborn about nationality for this proposal. |

Larsson has been in and out of the lineup all year
Schaller is a fill in
Pysyk is good at the role he is playing now but who knows about a top 4 role
Yakapov was having a good year playing with McDavid. Former #1 overall picks don't get traded for packages of bottom 6 players and a maybe top 4 defensemen not to mention throwing in a high 2nd round pick with that former #1 pick |

Who cares where he was drafted anymore. The assets they have produce a 30th place team. They need a change and role players and D are what their looking for. I don't know who they are going to get but I'd put money on a former number 1 overall being packaged for a few role players and D this year. |
