Full is a strong word. It lacks any real standouts or high end talents, which puts us at a bit of disadvantage when talking trades.

There's plenty of depth there that you figure a few will work out and help us replace the depth we eventually have to trade away when we become contending/cap team.

The high end talent has graduated (Eichel, skunk) to the blue and gold. I agree, plenty of depth guys within the system and you need that. Another top talent in next year's draft would be nice for the re-build.

Well, Hurley has 6 points in 13 games, which is already half of what he had all year last year. He's a guy they can afford to bring along slowly. Needs to put a bit of muscle on too, since he's 6'2" but only 190 lbs.

I think they knew he was going to be a bit of a project, but felt he was worth the risk. I had heard he looked good this year. One thing to keep in mind as well, is Notre Dame isn't generally known to be an offensive power house so his point totals may be a bit stunted. It was something that I remember hearing when it was said that's where he was going. There were some people that were concerned about him going there because of that.
