Haven't seen anybody else say it today - I will.
RIP to a true rock'n'roll voice and a flawed old soul
http://youtu.be/NWLShUu568U - Der Kaiser
I'm honestly surprised he lasted this long.
It's a shame so many great artists, or anyone really, are addicts or otherwise tortured souls.
There's still so much of a stigma around mental illness and addiction that so many don't get the help they need. But it's "expensive" and it's their fault for using anyway, so (frank)'em. I have a bit of cognitive dissonance about this on a personal level, you want to see them get the help they need, but then they're offered it many, many times, and (frank) it up every time, or don't even bother because they'd rather stew in their own self loathing because of whatever led them there in the first place. Whether it's some sort of abuse, or an underlying imbalance, whatever. It makes it very hard to want to help. Ok, end of rant. I could go on all night about it. |

I disagree. To me, a bad hockey team is what we had to watch the last 2 years. I think what we have now is what I would call an inconsistent team. It's got good moments and not so good moments. - HonkFortheGoose
The team from the last two years wasn't bad, it was historically awful. An inconsistent team is a bad team. |

There's a difference between bad, and not good.
I agree with 365, we're not yet good, but we sure as poop aren't bad either. If they play consistently good like they have shown they can they would be a good team, but we're either the youngest, or second youngest, and a lot of the youngest play major roles. Ristolainen is the #1 defenseman and he just turned 21, Eichel as the 2C is only 19, Reinhart in a top 6 just turned 20, McCabe and Pysyk are 22 and 23 respectively and are top 4 guys. You're going to have inconsistent play from guys that young, it's unavoidable.
But so far they're trending in the right direction. I would be positively ecstatic if we end up with 80 points this year. Which based on last year would put them 25th in the league. That's not good just looking at the raw numbers, but it would be a massive improvement. |

Bylsma needs to get it through to Eichel to stop trying to skate through three guys on the other team. |

Thank you. This is exactly how I feel about it.
A bad team isn't entertaining to watch. With the exception of maybe 2 or 3 games, this team hasn't been painful to watch this year. There's plenty of room for improvement. I'm just so sick of all the negativity. The last 2 years of that was more than I could handle. The team is turning the corner. Why can't people just sit back and enjoy the ride?

I understand, but it's Busch league college stuff. He won't succeed long-term that way. |

I get that Bylsma likes to use Girgensons in a checking role, but I really think it could benefit Eichel to pair them up for a bit. |

No but long term he won't have to play with those guys either. It strikes me as frustration. |

I respectfully disagree. My dad is dead because he refused to get help for his alcoholism. Never bothered, and it killed him at 50. And I know another person that the only reason he went to rehab was to avoid going to jail, and he promptly got kicked out because he got high while in rehab. And then got into another facility which he made it through because, again, he would've gone to jail if he didn't, but as soon as he got out he started using again. Anyway... let's talk about more lighthearted things. Go Bills! lol |

He needs linemates that are gonna clear some space for him and drive to the net. Girgs does all of those things. He's also got the legs to be able to keep up. |

He actually had Girgs with Eichel against Detroit from the mid point of the 2nd and all of the 3rd. I agree, put Girgs on that line. |

Nice, Skunk!
Agree, the problem is it results in a scoring chance every 4th or 5th time he does it. And hasn't really hurt the team that badly, not like Ennis has. He's fast enough to get back when he does end up coughing it up going the other way.
