I get that Bylsma likes to use Girgensons in a checking role, but I really think it could benefit Eichel to pair them up for a bit.

He actually had Girgs with Eichel against Detroit from the mid point of the 2nd and all of the 3rd. I agree, put Girgs on that line.

He's done it a few times so far. The first game of the year was the first time. But he only seems to do it for portions of games.

He needs linemates that are gonna clear some space for him and drive to the net. Girgs does all of those things. He's also got the legs to be able to keep up.

He does, but he's looked largely lost on the wing so far. Maybe it'll just take time for him to adjust. I think they could do some serious damage if they got it together.

Thank you. This is exactly how I feel about it.

A bad team isn't entertaining to watch. With the exception of maybe 2 or 3 games, this team hasn't been painful to watch this year. There's plenty of room for improvement. I'm just so sick of all the negativity. The last 2 years of that was more than I could handle. The team is turning the corner. Why can't people just sit back and enjoy the ride?
