Being "arguable" and "hard to grasp" aren't the same bro
It is arguable. Which makes it fairly easy to grasp - Ihateallofu
Ok, figured I'd give it one more shot. Nice talking to you |

You claim that Arizona should trade OEL because they are likely to waste his prime years on a non cup contender. You then suggest trading him to a team with an even worse chance of winning a cup than Arizona. Smart thinking. - flamminghead

The more I think about it I agree that a deal between the oil and the yotes would benefit both teams. Arizona will lose him to free agency anyway and edm can't keep everybody under the cap system. Edm is a trade or two from being really good. Don't underestimate McDavid. |

If I was GM of Yotes if the conversation didn't start with Leon and the first I would be on the phone to Buffalo or TO seeing what they want to give. - VANTEL
I don't think they could beat it
I guess it depends on what Maloney wants though. Or how quickly he sees the turnaround.
But nuge and a possible lottery is far better than Reinhart and say- pysyk
Just my opinion
But yeah- Leon's size, skill set and defensive awareness is something the oilers have been desperate for ages
He pretty much indispensable |

Even oilers fans can't keep him realistic
I've tried
But hey, at least we've got someone on our bandwagon while we're all jumping off

I'm more so point out Tanner's hot takes. Wouldn't matter who he is talking about. Oilers included. |

I don't think he's an idiot.
I think he's stubborn as Fuk and thinks the game on paper way too much though.
But he's smart dude imo |

In terms of entertainment and style, he's one of the best bloggers on the site. He's just far too reliant on statistics, and is often led down the wrong path with them.

Certainly possible. Not only considering how fantastic of a player he was, but more so that he gave us two very dangerous lines.
Get bobo yakupov to get open and pouliot to do some of the hard work - and let Connor do his thing.
That line was our best some nights
But now we're back to juggling to find depth while other teams key on halls line .
If we didn't have Leon's surprising dominance, we'd be completely effed |

James,
What qualifications do you possess to assert that you would be a better GM than 1/3 of the current general managers?
I know nothing about you, so I'm asking with an open mind.
|
|
|

Anyone is tradeable, but you'd have to be sure you get a HUGE return for OEL. If this team could make big UFA signings, they'd be good to go. Plus, if the Yotes draft Matthews, they could be a bubble team next year |
|
|

This just proves how clueless you are... to the point where even Garth Snow can run circles around you as GM. - Mashadar
What? Garth Snow is one of the best GMs in the league. He's one of the only ones who would be better than me. |
|
|
|
Tough to argue from the track record of many gms, that they didn't deserve their jobs.
Was it possible to do a worse job than mike milbury? U could build a dynasty with the players he traded for peanuts.
Or Steve tambellini? Pick a guy off the streets and I'm sure they could finish last twice in a row and take the highest rated prospect. Them sign some overrated 3rd pairing guy that's out of the nhl in 2 years to ensure those high picks - Ihateallofu
That is really my point. Though it's also hilarious that people think I'm serious and get super mad. |

Did you just say "lol'ing"?
You're excluded from adult talk for the rest of the day. You did it to yourself.
Besides, an elite defender of oel's caliber dies far more than another 18 year old kid. - Ihateallofu
They should make you my mod. That is the best comment ever. |

I doubt they give up their Austin Mathews pick either.

It's Auston Matthews..... learn to spell his name if you are gonna try to sound intelligent about up and coming players. - Katana777
I said this the other day somewhere: If you are going to spell your name like an idiot you can't get mad when people mispell it.

McDavid is so good he elevates his wingers to a level that nobody else could. Also I think James turned out a very interesting blog today, but the internet is all about spewing criticism and negativity ... I don't get that but that's just me. |

They currenly have points in four of five games, and still haven't played a single game without missing at least two of Schultz, Yakupov, Eberle and McDavid.
And in the games McDavid did play, they also were without Draisaitl and Nurse (maybe CmcD and Nurse played one or two together before he went down).
SO yeah, I'd say they pretty much a lock for the Playoffs still if they get to play 40 games with their full team. A team which is beyond a shadow of doubt the most talented roster in hockey by a mile.
Do people not eve get how Fn insane a lineup feature McDavid/ RNH/ Draisaitl down the middle actually is?
And with Yakupov, Hall and Eberle they each get a potentially elite winger. |
