Loonngg season...hard to decompress form NYJ -NYG roller coaster ride....
U watch NYR hockey in Dec & its hard to grade , NHl has packed it in for all
back to backs & 4 game wks are watering down the product ,cant play or maintainthe level of intensity we want every game with out a 30man rsoter ,need interchangeable parts & level wouldnt drop off...
Glad to see our boys bounce back... best part is D collectively will finish as top unit or near top.... Macrath is gonna pay off big time in future.... 7 man rotation should start when Kleins back for rest of season... dont care it will pay off at P O's...
reason i mention is it will keep us in all games ... Goal & D can steal one or 2
when O is flatter than flat from too many games in short amt of time...takes more energy to score than it does to defend
Fact 13 teams still have single digit losses.....lots of packed teams .....
coming around the back stretch (mid Jan to Mid march ) with a action packed
sprint to the finish... this yr like football ....
whats left in the tank at the end will be the deciding factor....
I see the same in hockey ..who will be hot & healthy for P O's .....
big win keeps us focused and working to stay up on top of lg.
I M O we will need a top 6 fwd. to ensure cup run & win.....
we will see if they move actively or wait & re act as the deals change the
landscape of the league... hope we are trend setters .....L G R |

I was at the game last night and it was a really enjoyable night
gotta say, just sitting there enjoying the game, not looking at twitter or hockeybuzz every 5 minutes really brings me back to the thought that this is supposed to be fun.
Comments during the games are always negative and it's been taking my enjoyment away from the game.
I think when I watch games from now on, I am putting the phone away so I am not tempted to open the twitter app.
Just gonna sit there, watch games. If they lose or look like crap, so be it. - jimbro83
That's the way it should always be. There's no magnetic force field pulling you towards the internet; if you are choosing to go there, during games, that's on you.
It's also your choice to be angry all of the time(Cranny) or happy regardless of what's said about your favorite team or how your favorite team is playing. I made up my mind, after the 2014 finals run, to not take social media seriously ever again. There are so many know-it-alls, loudmouths, irrational fans, etc., that can get you going if they let you.
Don't let them, stay in your comfort zone, regardless of the outcome. I love the Rangers, unfortunately I will take that fanship to my grave, but the days of losing my nerve whenever things go wrong(which is often) or letting some stupid fan's comments unsettle me, are long over.
Glad you enjoyed the game last night. Outcome be damned, that's what sports is all about. It's a distraction but it should never distract you from what's important. |

well, if we are going to take into account Ottawa played the Islanders the night before and were out of gas last night, then maybe we should give the Rangers a little slack for being out of gas against the Avalanche the night after the Islander game |

yep, the negativity is out of control, I can't imagine what it would be like if we were actually bad |

The negative fans will spin it and say that this fan base is smarter, than most others, and expectations, for this team, are higher, than most as well. Those fans can say whatever they want; they are just negative people, period. If you can't be happy, as a fan of this team, with their current place in the standings then why be a fan?
If you aren't getting any enjoyment out of watching them win two-thirds of the games played, despite their issues, what's the point?

Loved Lindberg in the top 6 last night. Kid led the team with 5 SOG, and played 2nd highest among forwards in icetime. 67% on FO too. Kreids didn't score but I think he played his most dominant game of the season last night. Kid needs to stop worrying too much and go play hard and aggressive. I like Brass, Zucc, Hayes line. That combo is probably our best tic tac toe players. Gotta figure things out cuz with Lindberg's solid and smart play, we have 7 top 6 forwards that all need top 6 minutes. Although could be a good thing that AV can punish whichever one of them who's slacking onto the 3rd line to keep pushing them lol... |

Looks like he is choking on...
Can't see him on this team. He could be a good pickup for, well, nobody. Except maybe Phoenix. Stick Tanner with him. |

But we all do, the difference is knowing when to say when. When I was single & younger losses, particularly playoff time were so excruciating I couldn't sleep, bothered me for days. Now the sting is still there but I let it out for an hour or 2 after the game & by morning I've moved on. And that in NO WAY makes me or any other fan who acts like this less of a fan, or I'm not as invested than the "sky is falling" people.
It makes me realize what's more important, like my sanity & my wife & children healthy. |
